i have to say that I'm really surprised at how good this is. the penguin back story is great and I'm eagerly awaiting the introduction of more characters....just leave the joker the **** alone..he has no back story and everybody know it. burton nearly jacked up his movie in 89 by ****ing about with the joker.

I agree... I don't want to know anything about the Joker. But of course its been told a few times so this could just be like the "Do you want to know how I got these scars?" stories and you never know which one to believe.

These were posted on the Gotham Facebook page for Halloween. The style looks like Gary Frank's, but it's kind of awesome, as it gives you an idea of what these characters could look like. I doubt we'll ever reach the point where Robin Lord Taylor gains eighty pounds, but it's cool to think about, regardless:

Those likenesses are impressive. No trouble whatsoever seeing the progression from the actors to the fully realized characters.

Ironically, the one character that has no history and no place to go looks nothing like the actress. :lol

This show is really strange. At times it seems to be channeling the serious tone of the Nolan films, then the very next scene will be Tim Burton camp. I'm not saying one style is better than the other, but I'm not sure mashing them together was the best idea.

Just saw "Spirit of the Goat" and it seems that the show just found its' footing! Easily the best episode yet and Bullock is so likeable. Hope things get better from here on.

That being said, just cut off Bruce Wayne and Selina already, they're useless because they don't have anything to do. And why the heck is Selina acting like Catwoman already? Isn't she what, 12? :slap

Instead of Selina and I would love to see Zatanna. Since she was actually a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne.

It would also be cool since Selina sees Zatanna as her greatest rival for Bruce’s heart.

Zatanna cause she wears fishnets.

The Goat episode was good!

Catching up on Arrow season 2, that **** is goooood.......

Anyone know why they keep showing the green Q building? Are they going to have a young Oliver Queen make cameos?

My guess? The same reason "The Narrows" was on Smallville: cost cutting by way of using visual assets they already have at their disposal.

I think it's interesting that we're getting to see two similar villains in different stages of a similar path.

We didn't get to see what caused the Penguin to be a psychopath. We see him when he's already at the start of his road to evil, beating the crap out of the guy in the alley, already a part of the Gotham crime scene. We get a line here and there to give us some idea, like his mom talking about 'the bullies', but nothing concrete. I really like what they are doing with him and his relationship with Gordon - I think he really does see him as a friend.

On the flip side, we get to see the Riddler as a 'regular' guy, a productive member of society. And yet, his quirky weirdness sets him as an outsider, and we are seeing various people treat him with less than dignity and respect. As a criminal, it's not like there's a lot to separate Penguin and Riddler, but the show is separating them by showing us their similar path at two different points. I think it's a smart move.

I mention that because I think the evidence room chick isn't supposed to be anybody in particular (Kris Kringle - heheheheh) but rather another example of someone, like Bullock, who calls out Nygma's weirdness and pushes him further outside.

As far as Oswald goes, I think the "road to evil" pretty much came to an end when he killed three dudes for their sandwich, clothes, and shoes, respectively.:lol

What is up with the cat goggles that catgirl is always wearing? Watching her perch on the ottoman, just can't take the character seriously.

Next one is Zsasz right? I missed the previews, waiting to hear when my next episode is coming up.

Yes.

Zsasz is coming, y'all, and it's going to be awesome.

On Monday, Anthony Carrigan, who recently portrayed The Mist on CW's The Flash, visits Gotham as supervillain and serial killer Victor Zsasz. And in a just-released sneak peek at the episode, we get our first extended look at his debut, which looks fantastic and totally creepy.

Victor Zsasz's 'Gotham' debut looks incredible
