Not to mention Jerome was dressed like a cop like Ledger in TDK, not that Ledger was the first Joker to dress like a cop, but it's probably the most recent and the most memorable version to do it.

Yeah, I feel they could have made a more entertaining entrance. Almost seems like the only way to get into GCPD is dress up as a cop or have a large clown army at the front steps.

I suppose it may be a Joker thing, but I noticed it more in Ledger than even in the books, but when Ledger and Jerome have this habit of making it look like they are immune to pain. Oh I just got headbutted? I'll laugh my ass off.

So far I like the first 2 episodes of season 2, even if the show is really silly and dumb. A Gotham show could be as good as the Sopranos, but instead, the show is very over the top, even with their choice of music, which reminds me of Batman Forever at times. The show and the humor reminds me of Forever actually. I like the young "Joker", and I think he's the best character since Penguin.

Assuming he's the Joker, here's how I rank them.

1. Romero

2. Ledger (his the best Joker, imo... but Romero pretty much invented the role and every other actor/voice actor just copies or is influenced by Romero)

3. Nicholson

4. Jerome...don't know his real name.

5. Mark Hamill's voice (good voice)

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. They both seem to show signs of a masochistic personality, which is something I had not seen before Ledger...well, maybe in the Dark Knight Returns story. I can' remember if he enjoyed pain in older comics. Maybe he did.

That Joker/Cop thing goes back a good long way. Detective 40-something (45, maybe?) sometime in the 1940s ...

That's why I said that Ledger wasn't the first to dress like a cop, but instead the most recent and memorable mainstream version to do it, since most people don't know that comic from 70 years ago... but everyone knows TDK ...:dunno

Ok, my DVR cut off right at the end...

I saw him in the morgue with the camera going over his face... does he move or anything in that last couple seconds?

Okay, this show is seriously pissing me the **** off.

Even when they got something good, they **** on it.

I decided to give it an open mind, figured it had to be written in the sense of someone just getting character names and their occupations; maybe some physical attributes; but in the end the writers had to be complete ****ing idiots. That is how I see these episodes, and surprisingly it actually seems fitting.

The writing and stuff makes it feel like Nicholson or Ledger. I have to give it to the actor, he actually does a good job. I actually don't mind him in the last or this episode. It seems he tried to do his own thing and step away from other spotlights.

But that ending, I think it makes the idea of:
Joker being inspired by Jerome ****ing stupid. I'd take Jerome's origin over a Joker seeing Jerome and start going with that. Jerome was original, so is Joker; he has never been a copycat.

But a good episode none the less. Barbara is pushing it a bit IMO. The whole aftermath of the GCPD was spot on, and maybe cause "Moonrise Kingdom" is a favorite, but I actually do find the love interest between Selina and Bruce adorable. Everything else is rat **** under the rug.

Definitely surprised by the ending. Didn't see that coming. I like where it's going though.

Wow, yea, that was a waste of a great build up.

Indeed and it's a big reason I'm right on the edge for dropping this show. I've enjoyed it to this point, but just when they seem to be going in the right direction they do what they did this week. A complete waste.

At the end I was expecting him to blink then reach up and rip off a fake neck piece with a blood pack and start laughing. If he really is dead I am going to be really bummed because I thought he did a great job and I agree that the thought of him “inspiring” the real joker is kind of dumb.

I was thinking something similar, waiting for him to blink. :lol

Then, it ended and I was like, "Sooooooo.....he's dead??"
