I was very "on the fence" about this one until I watched the WonderCon footage....

Now, alright, bring it on!

With Thor looking like a bore (spoiled privileged boy-man with daddy issues gets thrown out of the "house" and has to learn humility from those poor ordinary folk....yawn) and Captain America still looking a little uncertain, Green Lantern may be the upset, upstart comic book movie to see this summer...

This is actually looking (from a production point of view) like something that's being put together by folks who want it to be good...it sure looks amazing. And...it looks like a - gasp! - comic book movie! Not a gritty-real world angst ridden take on the material, but a straightforward approach to the comic, from the designs to the characters....

Now I'm very ready to see this!

This new footage makes me wonder, will green lantern be darker that we first thought? I certainly hope its dark and theres less of that comedy like in the first trailer.

I would have to agree, I finally watched The Rocketeer and if that's the best that JJ has to offer then we're really screwed with Cap

At the end of the day, how many Superhero movies really stand the test of time anyways, very few really.

Hopefully GL (and Thor) will be one that does so that it can join the ranks of:

Superman1
Superman2
Batman89

Still to early to see if BB, TDK, Spiderman 1, Spiderman 2 and Iron Man 1 will eventually be considered classics.

At this point if there isn't a large scale battle with all of the GL Corps vs the Parallel Parking monster and the Corps simultaneously shooting all their rings at said monster, then this movie will be a big fail for me.

Hell, as already seen in the trailer, they shot off their damn weapons all at the same time into the air just because they were celebrating their strength in numbers so they better at least do it when facing a world eating monster known as Galactus....errrr....I mean the Parallel Parking dude.

Hey, just blame the damn 4 minute footage that was released, I was simply minding my own business when all of a sudden that 2nd trailer came around and smacked me in the face with all of its awesomeness!

Forget about it now, this movie better deliver big time by making me see Jesus with just one viewing or else!
