They'll be 1/4 scale, just not with huge bases as the trinity

The bases will definitely be shorter but Bats is already larger than 1/4 scale. Supes and WW will probably be the same scale to match with Bats. If the others are made in true 1/4 scale, they will look small next to the Trinity anyway. On top of that, we all know that SSC will mess up and release another member in a scale slightly smaller than 1/4. Just look at the current GL or Deadpool PFs. They are both slightly smaller than 1/4 scale. With so many JLA members yet to be released, it's only a matter of time before we get another member who'll match up better with the GL PF than the Trinity.

I think Igo was talking about how high their bases were going to be, filip, not the scale. You now, a tiered display with the Trinity up there and the rest (GL, MM, Flash, Aquaman?) being on a lower level just because their bases will not be as huge. I even gathered further JLA members would be even lower than that.

SSC inconsistencies of scale happen in all of their licenses and lineups. Just look at the recently released GL and Deadpool PFs. Neither are true 1/4 scale pieces. This is an ongoing issue and it will pop up again sooner or later in the JLA lineup.

yeah, sometimes the scales are all over the place....as long as the rest of the Batman characters match up as well as the Joker does next to Bats, I'll be happy.

(not my pic)

Sure, filip, I'm not arguing that. I was responding to what you seemed to imply in my quote, ie, the rest of the JLA PFs being deliberately in a smaller scale:

Scale is another issue entirely. Anyone who thinks the rest of the JLA members that will be released will match the scale of the Trinity is deluding themselves. SSC Reps have already said that the Trinity is in a different tier and will be larger than future JLA members yet to be released.

Do you think the rest of the JLA lineup will be made to match the Trinity's scale? Factor out the bases. I'm talking about the scale of the figures themselves. I'm not sure we can say that SSC will release the rest of the lineup in larger than 1/4 scale. In fact, I'm fairly sure that they won't. Even if the rest of the lineup is released in exactly 1/4 scale, then they still won't match up with the Trinity or Batman at the very least since we already know he is larger than 1/4 scale. This doesn't even take into consideration the PFs of the JLA they won't get right and release in slightly smaller than 1/4 scale like the GL and DP PF. Basically, peeps will be left on their own to make each lineup work in their collection when taking scale into consideration. This is all I meant by my posts. I didn't mean to imply anything else.

I am in this camp. scale is not that big a deal to me. I have statues ranging from the tiny b&w batmans to life size busts and 1:2 statues.

Of course, you know that will happen. In defense of some members here, some of them just don't like the GL PF based on how it looks. The pose, the muscle definition, and the shiny paint apps are some of the reasons they passed on the GL PF. Obviously they just want a differnt type of GL statue (museum pose, and maybe a mixed media costume). That's completely understandable. Scale is another issue entirely. Anyone who thinks the rest of the JLA members that will be released will match the scale of the Trinity is deluding themselves. SSC Reps have already said that the Trinity is in a different tier and will be larger than future JLA members yet to be released. Even if SSC didn't release that info, we know from experience that SSC's lineups all suffer from inconsistent scale issues. That's not a problem that's going away anytime soon. As a collector of SSC merch, I just try to make the best of it by matching statues that are closer in scale next to each another. The only real reason I'll pass on a PF of a character I really like is if I just don't like the way it looks. That's when I just hope that SSC will revisit the character somewhere down the line.

everyone is entitled to their opinion, but to suggest GL is better than batman is nuts, in my opinion :cuckoo:

(for the record I own batman and have seen GL in person at my LCS)

You wanna get nuts? Come on, let's get nuts!

I am in total agreement with this. Plus it is yet to be seen if WW and Superman are in fact the same size as Batman.
I think we are all just assuming/hoping it's the case. I think Superman will certainly be but do I have some concerns about WW.
I hope they show some side by side pics today and not PS ones.

I don't know, I was just going by what Igo said, who only seemed to be talking about bases. But I, too, can't see Sideshow releasing other PF pieces as big as Batman (and, hopefully, Supes and WW).

We'll see. :)

Oh, look, someone happened to re-post the actual words by Igo on the other forum.

Igo said:
Future JLA members will come down a bit in size (skyline, not scale) trying to work with a "tier" affect. Secondary JLA will come down slightly, and 3rd tier a bit more-so. but we're being more cautious with the heights on some of these in the future

He didn't actually put that in bold.

So, it's indeed as I remembered it.

The way I see it now, the DC Trinity can all have their exaggerated size. It really doesn't bother me that they don't scale well with Hal Jordan. I'm taking him out of that equation. What WILL bother me is if Sinestro and any upcoming GL characters don't scale with Hal.

I think GL and Sinestro will look great together, but the leaning GL pose coupled with the fact that Sinestro towers over Hal (in the comics...he's 6'7") could still make Hal look a bit small for some people. Sinestro isn't as bulky as batman and superman, so I'm not personally concerned about it.

Looks like they will be in scale with each other. GL 21" Sinestro 25.5" measured to his extended hand and with out exclusive.
