- I HATED that end battle with Ronan. Seriously...? Instigating a Dance Off to distract him? For a cold blooded no-bulls***t villan, he would stand there for 2 minutes letting you dance in front of him (when he dosen't even know what a dance-off is), and delay destroying a planet he has been yearning for years and years? Would Drax delay annhilating Ronan or Thanos (if he had the power) if they started dancing? Lazy script writing. If Rocket ran out and made a cuddly adorable face and started to hump Star Lord's leg, that would be just as rediculous but at least more entertaining.
- The characters get to tell us their sad backstories.TELL US through dialouge, and not show us. I'm not asking for a 10 minute sequence devoted to each Guardian. But like... when Rocket tells us how he was experimented and put together, a quick 30 sec. montage of him in a surgery room, with him screaming in agony couldn't have been too much to ask. Gamora - like a 30 sec. scene where her people and her parents are dead on the floor with her scared (or emotionless) and Thanos reaching for her hand. Drax- am almost dying Drax, looking as Ronan walks away after killing his family - 10-15 seconds MAX.
- Some scenes were actually funnier in the trailer. "I have part of a plan" comes to mind, and a few more
- Drax was pretty 1-Dimensional and not as cool as he could have been. Well... then lets make jokes at his expense. If they made him more like Kratos from GOW, it would have been better. Nebula sucked too. She virtally did nothing or said anything, apart with her 2 min. fight sequence with Gamora.
- One more nitpick: It annoyed me that there were so many Human looking "aliens" in the galaxy. I know theres a budget, but when you establish a world where citizens from across the galaxy all interwine. Well... when you see a bunch of human looking characters, its kinda distracting. The prison sequence probably 6 out of every 10 inmates look Human. I had the same nitpick for Thor 2.
