I think about it, I doubt Beta would be easily captured. And i wouldnt like it, I would rather they go the protector of his people route

Makes no sense for Collector to keep BRB since he wasn't impressed with Rocket who is also a cyber-enhanced/mutated individual of his not-so-rare species. Tho, again, MS could've changed BRB's origin...

Saw this toady, at last.

I worried that it would be overrated considering the crazy levels of hype it has but it was that damn good

This truly was a fantastic movie. Lots of fun, funny but with the right kind of comedy, sweet and heartwarming at times, action packed with a little romance

I was never really looking forward to Gamora, she was the least anticipated Guardian for me but she really shown and earnt a great deal of like. My favourite character was probably Rocket then Groot them Drax then Starlord. Loved the way Drax was essentially a big softie and the way he spoke with the reaction to it was hilarious

I loved that friendship theme throughout the movie

The music was great, almost a character itself

The villains were the weakest part, as they have been with nearly every MCU movie and the actions wasn't that great.

The big final battle sequence has become a cliche of the MCU but In this case I felt it had more personal stakes to it, the team were essentially uniting to be the good guys and protecting something bigger than their own materialistic interests and that added it of weight to it

I'd give this movie a 9.5/10 easily tieing with X-Men Days of Future Past as the best of this years superhero movies.

I really hope that going forward they keep this separate. What made it so great other than it being expertly made was that it was separate and not centred around the avengers like every other MCU movie. I don't want to have to watch an avengers movie to see Guardians or to know what's going on in a Guardians movie

I'd say Groot was probably my favourite character. Loved how he was a big softie who went kinda bi-polar and raged out.

1) Dawn of The Planet of The Apes
2) Guardians of the Galaxy / X-Men Days of Future Past
3) Amazing Spider-Man 2

Saw this twice (in 2D; not a fan of 3D) opening weekend and want to see it once more. I'm waiting for the hype to die down so I can see it in a less packed, quiet theater. I like feeding off the crowd on opening weekends but you end up missing little bits and lines as everyone is laughing. It's two different experiences and for some movies I like to get both.

All in all I really dug this. I love how they introduced the Marvel cosmic universe (well, expanded rather since it was introduced in the Thor movies) and it'll be interesting to see how they tie in the characters of Earth into the big picture.

I sometimes cringe at some of the childish humor in these movies but this one felt different. Based on the goofy menagerie that the team itself is, a lot of the humor worked. Usually I'd be like "WTF?" with the Oohh Child scene, but in all reality it fits. Goofy as it is, how else would an average Joe like Quill slow down a superior being from an alien race with an Infinity Gem? IDK, it worked to me.

I felt the whole team was fleshed out well enough. The villains could have been a little more, but I don't feel that Ronan was a disappointment like Mandarin or Malekith. He has a great look and he transferred from the comic pages to the screen well. I think he was only one more bad-ass scene away from making a bigger splash. One more sequence of him displaying the powerful threat that he was, and I think he would've hit the viewers hearts harder. Can't wait to see more of Nebula; hoping that she'll have some memorable bad-ass moments. Yondu on the other hand... I like the character but I think the part was miscasted. Rooker has the gritty space pirate thing down but I just don't see where an American-southern accent fits in space. Maybe that's just me

I think that the third watch will make me an even bigger fan
