Well the original GotG are not the same as the new ones, but they've been around for quite some time.

Zoe Saldana is a great choice for Gamora. She's got the attitude and the ability to kick ***, so it works. If they follow the tone of the new series, this movie is going to kick all kinds of ***.

Starhawk came along in the mid-70s.



This film, however, has this cast:

Which was created in 2008. So unless you're either five years old or utterly confused, these characters are pretty new.



Now, true old school Marvelites should ask:

Is Aleta in it? Is Vance in it? Charlie? Martinex? Yondu?

No?

Then it's not The Guardians of the Galaxy.

C h a r a c t e r s were not created in 2008, created in the 1970's, I know you're one of the dimmer bulbs on the Sideshow board, but is that really that hard for you to understand? He said he collected 25 years ago, these guys were all around then. Maybe have your mom color you a picture. Gully Foyle looking like a derp...again. Doesn't matter, I stopped collecting hardcore about the same time the guy I responded to did, except for StarLords mask they look pretty much the same.

I think the last thing I got with Rocket Raccoon in it was his mid 80's limited series, are you trying to tell me that he is non recognizable now?

Unless you stopped collecting Marvel mid to late 60s, theres a pretty good chance you'd know some of these characters. Gully was just trying to be his usual... *ahem* self.

Does anyone really care for this film and indeed the characters anyway? Marvel & Disney will promote the hell out of it using 'from the studio that brought you' The Avengers and Iron Man.
