Watched the trailer a few more times today

The opening really reminds me of the Idol scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark

Apart from him getting busted and no-one knowing who Starlord is

Having said that, Indiana Jones never took itself too seriously

These guys will eventually run into the avengers right?

Assuming they don't die at the end of this, and unless there's a post-credits scene in Phase 3, probably won't see them again until Avengers 3 with the Avengers and Thanos.

I hope so. It'd also be nice to see them expand their stable a bit for Phase 3 and put out more than 5/6 films.

I doubt it'll pull Superman numbers. That would be like expecting Ant-Man to pull in Spider-Man numbers.

Yeah, but Marvel is such a recognised brand now that people will watch it because it's Marvel

I think the general public are also into the idea that these films are all interconnected and will feel that they need to watch this one to get the rest

Superman is anything but A-lister when it comes to cinema field. Goyeronolanosnyder's Hopeman made thrice its budget because not only it's not a Superman movie in any way but never was promoted like one.

Neither was Iron Man prior to 2008 but Favreau's film changed that in an instant. I think these guys are going to shoot right to the top.

Seriously! In fact IM came out when Dark Knight mania was at it's highest and Marvel movies were on the way down (Spidey 3 and X-Men: The Last Stand.)
