Awesome TV spot, minus that atrocious dubstep ****.

For a long time I only cared about the Jaegers, but now that we've seen more of the Kaiju I'm becoming very interested in them as well. Really hope NECA makes some Kaiju in 1/4.

Me too, if only because I'm going to get tired of people saying Man Of Steel is the best most epic masterpiece of cinema of all time, and the best movie since sliced bread, and gods gift to super hero movies, of all time epic-ness.

:wink1:

(PS - I'm looking forward to both movies. Just teasing lol)

Critics seen divided on MOS- so it isn't going to be the best thing ever....I'm just hoping it is big enough at the box office to get WB to go all out for Justice League toplining Bale and Cavill....:yess:

looks like I am the only one who thinks this movie is looking already stupid.. also the idea ...

BTW for all the newbies, Guillermo del Toro's inspiration for this movie says is Tetsujin 28. When I was at WonderCon I told him that it reminded me of Tetsujin 28 (a.k.a. Gigantor) and he told me he had nightmares about that robot! Priceless!!

Isn't any more stupid than the idea of an orphaned billionaire, dressing up as a flying rodent, and beating the snot out of a clown, a burn victim, an old guy etc..

Or is it more stupid than a half-android fighting a Septegenarian with laser pointers, aboard a military vessel with a planet destroying death ray, while the half man half machine dude's twin kids make googoo eyes at each other like their last name was Lannister.

Should I go on?

:lol:lol:lol

Man dressed as rodent beating the hell out of a clown. I never thought of it that way before.

Warner Bros showed some clips to an audience. Bleeding Cool has an article about it (mild scene spoilers).

Before the clips got going, the director appeared in a Sorry I Can’t Be There video, explaining how he had personally chosen these particular scenes to flesh out our ideas of what Pacific Rim is really about, and to reveal how it will really look and feel. Del Toro knew he was going to turn us into ambassadors for the film, people who could pass on word that while the film was going to deliver on all of the apocalyptic action in the trailers, the content and quality certainly don’t stop there...

...Pacific Rim seems to deliver on all of the action that make up the trailers, and clearly takes place in that amazing, elaborate sci-fi world we’ve been teased with. As more and more of the actual storyline comes to light, however, the more interesting it seems. I think Del Toro and Beacham have ideas in mind that are even bigger than their battling robots. Here’s hoping they’ve managed to join the dots cleanly.

Yes. The twist is that Peter Jackson actually directed this movie.
