I offered the guy who had the 460 the chance to shoot my .44 but he declined. The guy with the 500 was leaving as soon as we finished. And I didn't actually have anything interesting with me last night anyway. I blame that on our current ammo supply.
On another note, I noticed something over the past few weeks. The range I frequent is always half empty. So is it like that when you guys shoot? That makes me think people are buying up the guns and buying up the ammo but not actually shooting them. What's the fun in that? Worse come to worse I can shoot just my shotguns. 12ga ammo is plentiful right now. Even 30-06 and some other rifle ammo was still available at Wally World
Yes. My indoor range usually had a wait time and was always packed with first timers and new shooters. Now it's almost a ghost town. They sell 1 box of ammo per person to use at the range, but it's $30+ for a box of 9. I still buy it anyway. But nobody is shooting because nobody knows when they can get more ammo.
My outdoor range is pretty sparse as well. They spent all winter repaving and making upgrades and now nobody is going.
I'm shooting apx 50 rounds of 9 whenever I go, when I usually went through 100-150. And I'm still sitting on around 1,000 rounds, which sounds like a lot until you can't get any more. I'm shooting more 22 to offset, especially with my fiance's new Ruger, which is a sweet gun.
Also hording .223, apx 600 rounds and 45 apx 1,000 rounds. 22 I have a couple thousand.
Plan to buy shotguns soon.
