Also, its interesting to see how lighting continues to change how the coveralls photograph. They're charcoal in reality according to the research. There, they look quite blue-ish.

He's doing the music (which is awesome) and continuing to make money from the franchise. That's where Carpenter is at I think. To a certain extent, I can't blame him but its kind of sad. He's a helluva director and storyteller. Sad to see the business burned him out. Or bought him out.

Although it's nice to see studio shots of this new Myers before release, they are kind of ruining his mystique in a way. I mean if you look back to the original movie, you don't get a clear view of the mask until the movie is almost over, and even then it's in a dark room. I would love to see a shot of Castle and Courtney in costume, masked standing next to each other.

H1 didn’t need for him to be tall to be menacing this might as well be Zombie’s version.

Maybe the movie will be awesome but right now I see Jason from F13th and not the Shape.

MM in all of his sequels after H1 was just Jason hopefully this movie restores the correct aura of the character.

I will say, most of the “bad” shots so far have been press photos, composition in the film shots has looked fine, maybe they don’t care about the height difference because the way they’re shooting won’t make it noticeable.

I still prefer Myers to Jason. I enjoy the 80's horror characters though. Jason after the whole reborn zombie in part 6 really jumped the shark for me though. I liked part 6 though. Jason was mean in that one and for me I liked the first Halloween and part 4 a lot.

The more I look at him the more I come to the painful realization that slasher movies died for a reason and need to stay dead.

I mean he looks absolutely ridiculous there in the exact costume he wore 40 years ago.

40 years ago why does that costume have any meaning to him he stole it off a random victim.

I know it has meaning to the studio marketing dept but to the character it should have none.

Even the knife had to be the same lol

Well, the same can be said about a lot of movie characters. Why does the Terminator wear the same outfit in T2...even stole some sunglasses to match the first film for no reason.

I can see Myers wanting to use the same mask and knife. The outfit, it could be "updated", but that's the look of the character.

We don’t know how Michael goes from the asylum to the garage, but the costume works if that’s the first person he encounters to take clothes from, same thing happened basically in H4.

For me H4 was worse, why would a town that had the worst mass murder ever allow a store to sell a mask like the one used in the killings?

Anyways i’ll be there opening night just to finally wash away the sour taste from H20.

This movie will be good right....RIGHT....I mean these guys are really talking up a good game about respecting the original, the timeline and also bringing together all these special components.


Jeez H20 was 20 years ago that’s just insane!


Anyways after watching a masterpiece like Hereditary this movie will really need to work hard to match that level of sophistication found in Hereditary.


Original Halloween is so special and endearing because of the realistic banter between all of the characters including the kids so hopefully that was Carpenter’s main input, how to create those similar dynamics.

As brutal slasher movies go with a killer named MM they were decent especially first half of 1 and all of 2.

Carpenter original Halloween can almost be viewed as IT with The Shape being a version of Pennywise.
