Definitely more Michael in the Brazil trailer, and possibly a taste of the 2018 version of the Halloween theme.

I don’t yet like Laurie’s arc in this.

Question is, is Myers reason for being connected to the Halloween season or not?

Laurie is a person that would’ve went on to become either a high school teacher or college professor maybe the events from 78 would’ve even sent her to a big city like Manhattan.

If she knows he’s coming back and what he’s capable off she still decided that she could take him on alone?

Well, what I don't understand is she waiting 40 years like it happened yesterday or something. I don't like the concept of this. I am excited still to see a myers movie but IDK!

It makes sense to me, she barely managed to survive his original attack, he kept coming after stabbing him with the needle and then his knife, I could see that scarring a teenager and never being able to find a sense of safety that he won’t keep coming, and she had a daughter so there was some attempt at moving on between ‘78 or 2018.

I am a huge Myers fan ever since I saw the original in the early 80's, but I don't like this concept at all! Erase all the sequels is just stupid and re writing a story. Idk, I love part 2 and I just see rehashes of the sequels in this movie. I hope I am wrong and it kicks *** however, every scene I see in each trailer reminds me of either Halloween 2 4 and h20 so this is H40 lol. Give me a break. Anyways, I am still going to see it but Idk man. The whole concept to me is kind of off!

While I enjoy original 2 I don’t mind it being erased.

Something does seem off to me beyond the ugly digital cinematography but I can’t figure out what it is.

Maybe they’re showing him too much?

I don’t know but something feels off.

BUT then there are few shots where it seems like it could pass for 78 had it been afforded the respect of 35mm.

Halloween 4 was actually really good IMO. (mostly cause of Donald P.)

I agree. It is a good film. Alot of the cinematography is reminiscent of Carpenter.

Also its the first slasher film where the people involved actually do what they should. They make very smart decisions, and Michael still ploughs through them.

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

Halloween 4 is definitely one of the more enjoyable repeat viewing films in the franchise, but it's amazing how much a bad looking Michael can impact the experience, though I like the pointy nosed and chin H5 much less.

I agree the mask was not like the original, but I actually found that refreshing...

It had a very ghost like appearance, while still holding the expressionless dead eyes.

The worst mask (and tie for worst film) was the very next one...

Then this abomination...
