I loved Halloween IV. It's my second favorite in the series. Pleasance was great in it and Michael was a beast and as said before most of his victims weren't just airheads that were collateral damage. It was refreshing to see that and of course the original movie is still the best. I hope the new one is entertaining as I am looking forward to it more than the new Predator even the Punisher is in that one.

Since it’s supposed to be the same mask 40 years later will they offer an explanation how a latex mask survived the elements 95% intact for that length of time.

Highly doubt they will.

I would love to show you a photo of a 40 year old latex mask I own but I can’t because it completely melted lol

I’m almost thinking they should’ve had this story take place the same week as 78 with a de-aged Curtis and full cgi Pleasance :lol

What, Loomis gets killed first 10 minutes!

I agree the mask was not like the original, but I actually found that refreshing...

It had a very ghost like appearance, while still holding the expressionless dead eyes.

The worst mask (and tie for worst film) was the very next one...

Then this abomination...

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....
Millions of dollars set aside for a major motion picture release, and the production team spends about 5 minutes and spare parts laying around in someone's shed working on the most important physical characteristic of the character that is the reason people are going to the film in the first place. The guys developing the posters for 4 and 5 had the artistic judgment to rely on pics of the original mask in lieu of those atrocities.

I like the look of the new mask a lot. H4 mask was never great but at least it was still creepy looking. H2O and Res masks yikes. :lol

Saying that, the mask isn't solely what makes or breaks a Halloween film -- what does that is tension and atmosphere which are absolutely vital.

Also read up that there's a very violent child death in the new film. I know some details but I won't go into it for sake of spoilers.

Honestly I am surprised JC is still living....that dude smokes all day long...

He is 70 also....

But aged badly.

JC is actually 30 years old, he looks like that because he's married with four kids. :chase

First score track released, I like it, feels almost like a mix of the H1 and H2 scores from Carpenter blended together.
