When you accept this movie for what it is, I feel there’s a lot more to enjoy. While Michael kills, the base story is around him being prey, it’s like Sarah Connor hunting a Terminator. Is that a choice I’d have made, maybe not. Was it a good choice for the first sequel after RZ took us down a bizarre path, maybe not. That said, it was the choice made and while there are plot holes and flaws, I think they did a really good job telling a story that chose the path it did.

MM the prey.

Oh well at least H18 trailers weren’t deceiving like G14 were.

I’m not convinced that Akkad would allow the death of MM though to allow a Michelle Myers to don the mask of evil.

I can’t believe Yablins sr was at the LA premier that dude looks the same I figured he died already lolit’s

Once you see the movie, the JLC interviews really start to make sense. I thought they were just highlighting her story, I had no idea it would be so prominent. I'd say between the official adds and press talk, they were pretty honest about this movie, certainly didn't set you up to expect anything it didn't deliver on like the G14 campaign did.

This dumb **** is lucky he didn’t get hurt pulling this stunt but lol at the 1:32 mark holy crap that’s funny :lol

11:39 yikes!

Well that certainly didn’t take long.

Producer of IT and Lebron James production company, yes that Lebron James, have already contacted Victor Miller regarding a F13th reboot.

WB gets first dibs if made.

So no Blumhouse since I doubt Assad will want Blumhouse to be involved with F13th but who knows stranger things have happened besides they will be busy with the next Halloween. Imagine if it comes in 2020...H20 lol

Problem is Sean Cunningham holds the rights to masked Jason and Miller only holds the rights to boy Jason, his mother and original campers.

Ironically it will probably take a ton more money to make everyone come together in agreement then it will to actually make the movie lol

It took me the better part of four years to catch up on all of the absolutely superfluous (and mostly awful) sequels that series has had, so I'm definitely not seeing that.

Holy crap there are no words to describe just how freaking epic and genius this turned out. If you love H78 this will put a huge smile on your face.

My new favorite in their long list of great trailers.

H40 is reportedly also playing in IMAX for one week in response to high fan demand.

It has opened the doors to potentially many horror franchises coming back from the grave and getting similar revival treatment.

New F13th set after the part 4 or maybe 6 with Tommy Jarvis returning, ignores the rest. Go back to the green shirt and brown or beige pants please! :lecture

New Freddy set after the best sequel and arguably film in the series, Dream Warriors, erasing all the crap that came after it.

New Scream set after the first one so no more we met on serial killers dot com bs and the crappy sequels plus Randy still alive!

Chucky reboot is already being filmed as a robot doll gone bad, and there's aTV show set after Curse with the daughter of Brad Dourif looking like a young Charles Lee Ray from the first film.

Wow, I actually agree with you about A nightmare on Elm street 3. Not sure why we don't agree about this new Halloween being crap!

Wait wut I thought JAWS liked Hereditary.

Damn it RLM like H18 I guess I have to like it now. :gah:

I agree about Jason’s attire lol

Finally got to see it. Beginning was a little slow, but once Mikey got loose, HOLY CRAP :lol My heart was literally pounding. Kills were brutal as I’d expect from Michael. This IS the same Myers from 78.

Just skimmed the last few pages. Bit bummed it’s not that well received around here. I honestly don’t understand how anyone can genuinely like some of the other sequels more than this, but to each their own. I’m just glad I can add this to my short list of enjoyable Michael Myers movies.

I liked it overall - was fairly surprised how good it was. Three things that bugged me and prevent me from putting this in the top of my list for most enjoyable films of 2018.

(1) It went "Disney" - sick and tired of every movie trying to be funny regardless of the genre. How are you going to try to be funny during a kill scene in a Halloween movie?

(2) It did not have the balls to finish hard - man up for once and have a closed ending.

(3) Have to have a better plot device than the crazy doctor or letting the cross dressing BF walk away unscathed.
