#1 movie right now ..really :lol

I guess besides Venom, nothing to see

It’s annoying how Hollywood has become so seasoned based in quality movies

I miss the days when decent movies were released all year round during the holiday seasons of course they were just a bit better

Halloween, Venom, A Star is Born, 'Suspiria' is out soon, Chakorbumps 2 and The House with a Clock in Its Walls. You have plenty of choice. :monkey3

I am going to see First Man, which blow away Venon and Halloween out of the water minus the box office of course.

Unless you see it on a big screen in IMAX, save your money.

:lol

I do not want to be accused of "threadcrapping" nor is that my intention, but of all of the films that were largely negatively received on this site over the year, I feel this one definitely deserves it. It was titled "Halloween" and it did not even feel like a Halloween movie at all... plus there is the bore factor. It failed at two very simple things that it needed to get right if it was going to be so much as passable, and it failed miserably on both accounts. If that doesn't qualify as an epic failure then I don't know what does.

I know I tend to hate a lot of movies - but hey, it's not my fault that there aren't any threads here for the rare movies I like such as Goosebumps 2 or The House with a Clock in Its Walls. :lol

I agree with you the most on here, and what really pist me off the most was that they said he would be more human in this, and that was the biggest crock of ****. He was even more non human in this than the others. He got shot, nothing happened he got hit by a car, stabbed, and so on and so forth. So for them to say this movie Myers was more human like was laughable and made this movie even worse. The scene where the lady in the bathroom stays on the ground screaming forever, she could have escaped. Then the blond tripping on here sock was just overall great writing lol, not! The plot was so bad. I mean your the one I can talk to for hours about how bad this movie was and the choices they made, absolutely made no sense yet pple justify them like it was a great movie. I have to be honest I have no intention of buying this movie or watching it again. I watched it twice, once in the theater once at home and it was worse the second time. I wanted to at least give in another go but it was by far worse the second time. I still can not understand for the life of me how pple like this? I tried to find one thing to like and that was the mask, even the score was just okay. The kills were cool I guess, but I keep reading pples comments saying this was awesome and like 78 Myers, **** no it wasn't 78 had tension atmosphere great plot, uniqueness, everything stood out and was new. Nothing stood out and everything was done to death already, so for them to go back and copy it in a way and all the other sequels, was a bad choice. Listen, I grew up in the 70's saw all of them. Most in the theater and loved one and two, three was awesome as a stand alone movie, 4 was okay 5 didn't like. Reason I liked 6 was I saw it in the theater and at least it had atmosphere and tension, story wasn't the best but producers cut was better. I went back east to watch it where if felt like Halloween. I mean this movie wasn't exciting had no feeling about it. No real movement in Myers like 78, no head tilt really. This is one of the worse Myers to me. To bad I thought this movie had potential not a boring plot where they copy everything then bad choices through out. With the worst ending of any Myers movie to date. I mean how ****ing dull was that? No great battle between Jlc and Myers. Forgettable, every character, no one stood out. No nudity, no real great kills. No emotion to any characters. The guy next to me ****ing hated it. As a fan I put on a sane face but inside I was not happy. As this anticipation came and went so fast. Horror will never be as good as when it was in the late 70's and 80's. I mean can you find anything you liked? I say mask, and a couple kills, but they didn't even show a lot more kills, I mean the kid in Elrod's yard he just ****ing stands their. I mean it was like a typical dumb **** in a horror movie who is just waiting to get killed. I felt that way about every character. Jlc wasn't a bad *** like Ripley that pple are saying. She was average at best. It pains me to talk this way about my favorite horror character, but I have to say it because it needs to be said. It is hard for me to even hear it was good because since when did boring become good these days, or rushed movies? The tone of the movie was hideous as well. I mean the fact that this mfer just happens to be in Haddonville going on a killing spree meeting Jlc, was laughable. No new ideas. No logical ideas. No logical characters. Oh also no innovation, Halloween 2 was so much better, hell even H20 had such a better ending. I mean who thinks of these bad decisions through out?

Okay I guess I can stop, but to justify this as even okay is a stretch. So, hearing some say this was as good or if not better as the original, actually gets me upset. It is a slap in the ****ing face to John Carpenter and a great movie. With the technology and cgi and everything new movies can do these days compared to the 70's. In this they didn't do any of it good. It is the generation of boring bad movies, all comic boring crap or rushed movies. I mean other than a comic movie when did you see a good movie. Hell I would watch Hereditary over this any day. Actually, this is a stretch but I would watch the new Predator over this lol! Oh I even went to Pasadena Convention for the 40th and that was awesome, right before the movie, when I had hope in this new movie. That is no destroyed.

You’d do that for me Jye? I know we haven’t had that many interactions but your opinion meant the most to me. Please don’t let me down:pray:

Sorry star crunch I know your like me been around a while and scene all these Halloween movies and are a huge fan, but is it just because your a huge fan you like this. Cuz again, I find nothing to like or even try liking. Only thing cool other than the mask was the end credits. I saw it twice too. One in the theater and one at home. I can watch it anytime and maybe I will try again but the second time was worse!

But at least I got to go to Pasadena which is about 45 mins away from where I live in Huntington Beach. To the h40 convention center and that was a great experience. I mean I will always love Halloween, but I just can not justify this movie as being good or okay, and that pains me dawg!

Agree with the last two...

Black Panther - overrated. Who knows, I might have liked it better had it not been so talked up by SJWs

Even as someone who really liked the film I too was very annoyed by how SJWs kept promoting it as "the best superhero movie ever" (or whatever). I still appreciate it for being able to stand as its own film unlike much of the MCU, but it's a far cry from their best film.

Dead spot in the release dates I guess

At least you’re being fair about it:hi5:
But I have to respectfully disagree. I dislike most of the Halloween sequels. I watch them as a fan, but I think they’re trash. This, on the other hand, I genuinely enjoyed. Just gonna throw my ranking out there.
1. 78 (duh)
2. 18 (as of right now, but I doubt it will change)
3. 07 (sue me, I have a soft spot for it :lol)
4. II (again, feels like the same Myers, but not a big fan of the hospital setting)
5. Return (has that Halloween feel to it, but that mask:monkey4)
6. H20 (just meh)
7. Curse (Uncle daddy Mikey)
8. Resurrection (trick or treat, mutha ****a)
9. Revenge (TeeeeeeeenAaaa)
10. RZII (no words)

:exactly: :lecture

Has to be neat living next to where H78 was filmed. :monkey2

78(duh)

:lol :clap

No f'n way was it better than 2 no where near, seeing as the plot was dull and copied almost every sequel in some way or another so how can that be said? But 2 was the best sequel, and it was more than 30 years old and so called written drunk!

I go
Halloween 78
Halloween 2,
then all the others who cares!

jye 4 ever, ya it is not only that my dad was a cop in Pasadena so I was their a lot. I was always a Myers fan since 78.

I'm indifferent on some of those rankings of yours but I'm not going to get upset over someone else liking a film and having a different view than mine. :hi5:
