Flip, I've told him this multiple times and he still repeats the same untrue crap every time. I understand that some people care about ES and all that but this guy just keeps posting things that aren't true to try and validate a point he doesn't really have.

As a matter of fact. I think I'm done with him.

I just thought I would add some actual numbers to the conversation. That doesn't mean he'll stop though.

MM and CBG are like broken records on THIS ONE argument ... and they go over and over the same BS argument. In the end it is useless to debate them because they INSIST they are RIGHT now matter HOW MUCH EVIDENCE you provide that proves that their argument is BULL****!!!!

I take CBG with a gran of salt. Sometimes I do wonder if he even buys them.

I think this might be part of the game SS is playing and some collectors just don't like it.

ES is up and the idea might be to keep stock for longer on purpose. Aftermarket values won't skyrocket like they used to, but keeping popular characters in stock for longer increases SS's hold on customers. Make 1000 Batman's and the new collector next year will be crying he missed Batman (and most of us at this point have cried about some character we missed that came before we started. It's a familiar feeling). Make 7,500 and the value won't increase as much, but SS can reach the potential customer it otherwise couldn't with only 1000. It's still collectible, just not as limited as those who've been around for the lower ES pieces would like.

It seems many people judge success by quick sellouts. Understandable, but from a business perspective why wouldn't you want to increase potential earnings over time? There's always new collectors and they'll ensure the large ES on popular characters will still get eaten up over time, and SS will profit that much more. Sucks for collectors who like low ES, but for SS and newer collectors this is good. A year from now some new guy can get a Superman and not break the bank.

This is just a theory. It could be completely wrong. And I'm not defending increased ES, just looking at it from a business POV and not a fan POV.

I am just going to pickup on this post. I do buy what I want and wish. But one this is I will never buy anything that has a count over 1.000. No the SSC Clone Commanders is something I don't care about but when it comes to a PF if there is 1,750 I will just wait for the discount. We have been going around and around about SSC for sometime now. They really don't need to really care about the people on this board. After they will still sell them. But This I can say. They are hurting for cash. It's only a matter of time before they crash an burn.

Add to this the "Talon" factor where a small unknown female character is commanding such a high reselling price. Is Sideshow just trying to grab a piece of this pie whilst they can?

I pre-ordered on day 1 because I'm a huge fan of Harley. Was I disappointed when I saw the ES announced. Yes. Will I cancel? Hell, no. I live in the EU and EX versions are hard to come by to begin with.

I'm just saddened to see the releases going down the Gentle Giant route of huge edition numbers. Whoever said ES for the EX and open editions for the regular may not be too far from the truth.

I have like her since I seen her on TV. I would have bought this one. BUT I have a 1/5 and another 1/5 coming. So there is no need for PF. I can say the high ES is well high but you now I like the 1/5 ones. She looks more evil!

Exactly. It's my collection, not anyone else's. I have the EX on PO, and am very excited about Harley (love both heads).

I am glad guys. I know I am relatively new here ... so to speak. However, all of these massive threads with the same group of two or three *****ing on and on about the ES of a statue, while ignoring how amaazing it looks, well I am finding them FRUSTRATING. I never thought I would iggy a good egg like CBG, but I am thinking about it.

I can easily pick out the chronic complainers just by reading their posts before I look at their screen name. Thats bad.

Once again Josh, exactly!! I'm collecting the Bat line of PFs, and though I'm happy that we have had 4 Bat PFs up to the plate so far, I'm hoping we don't get more than 2 Bat PFs a year. 3 max. I also have the Superman EX PF on PO, as well as the Darth Vader Mythos statue, and though I want them, if it gets too much at once, then guess who gets cancelled.

I like my black widow and storm PF EXs more and they were $325. If I was a HUGE Harley fan I would def buy her. Still can't wait to see in hand pics and excited for those of you are big Harley fans getting her.

It's funny, but I don't normally, with a few exceptions depending on the line, whether it's Black and White, Arkham City, custom, collect the villains or sidekicks. I stick the Batman. However, I love all the characters in his universe, and when it comes to these PFs, I will try to get them all. I don't really care much for other comic properties or character universes. Batman's is the only one I like. Weird actually. i love that and sic-fi. I only collect Batman though. Everything else gets too expensive.

I don't think they'll drop more than 4-5 good PF pieces in a year for this line.

Where it gets tough is in situations like mine where I'm collecting SW Mythos, Marvel Comiquettes (soon to be PF), and DC PFs. FML. I can't say "no" when I see a great piece.

I'm thinking next year we'll see Superman, Catwoman, WW, another JLA, and maybe one or two other Gotham baddies.

For Mythos line (off topic) I think we'll see another 5 releases.

Marvel PF (previously Comiquettes) I think we'll see MJ and three or four other drops of which I'll probably jump on two.

Next year could be a $4K year for me if this comes true. I'm starting to think about selling some of my stuff to focus my collection a little more.

However back on to Harley Quinn...

This piece is one of my more anticipated pieces. I love Harley. I think this statue completely does her justice. I think we need to see her in hand, which should be around the corner at SDCC. Unfortunately, I doubt they'll be posing her EX which is the one I think we all need to see for ourselves first hand.
