Somebody's got to.

I didn't really buy that a pair of regular scissors can cut through bone or that Peter couldn't just take the box even in his weakened amnesiac condition.

They've always played fast and loose with the rules in that area. From the original pilot when the cheerleader stuck her hand in the garbage disposal and pulled out a mutilated fist, I called b.s. -- garbage disposals aren't meat grinders. I know it's just me, but things like that always bug me.

The upside is, the more annoying she gets the more Giles like her dad gets. Personally I like the new direction of her being an annoying teenager. Much better than her last season's moping. "I can't die or feel pain... muh-wah... :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2"

But the flying kid who's seen American Beauty too many times needs to get killed off -- soon. I fear he's destined to be the love interest. :banghead

Was it just me or was Claire annoying this whole episode?

A bit, and whats up with the car being stolen? Guess they can't call the cops being on the run? A bit confusing on that one... maybe there will be a follow-up thread later on.

Okay, aside from the dog possibly eating the toe...what the hell would happen to it? It's funny they showed that in the episode because I was wondering about it last week. I mean theoretically she could get a meat clever and make a necklace of toes like Jack's in Dead Man's Chest... :yuck

Well, it picked up a little after last week's car commercial (it was funny the car turned up missing this week...guess Nissan' ad rev check bounced , eh?)

Here's a curveball for consideration...

Listening to that drunk guy Hiro is dealing with in ancient (SoCal) Japan..."Kensei"....I was struck by something.

Is this guy Linderman?

He's a Brit...some passing resemblance to a young Malcom McDowell...has the same "power" as Claire (it appears) and before someone says "...but Linderman healed OTHER people/things, not himself"...consider this. If Linderman is either a) immortal or b) has power similair to Hiro, he could've been around for a LONG time, inlcuding being one of the founders of the "company". And there's nothing to say that through time he's grown other "powers" or absorbed some other ones...

It's already been established that some folks can "absorb" powers (Peter/Sylar), that there are folks out there with the same powers as each other (Nathan/annoying flying teen stalker)...

Somethin' to think about...I think it'd be a kick...

I find it odd that the origin of the powers were genetic mutation, I really like that idea. But with people with the same powers, are we to believe that they had the "same, exact" genetic mutation. I find that hard to believe. I thought they were going to have the same "type" of power, but a little different; I can by a similar type of mutation, but not the SAME one. Oh well, we'll see; I hope Peter gets more face time, his type of power interests me and he is my favorite character. Hope they also just kill of nikiessica, or jesinikki, whatever you want to call her.

Isn't it a genetic mutation in X-Men too, how do they explain different powers there? It's probably a similar explanation since there are so many other similarities.

I don't think I like the idea of Kensei being Linderman, but it is an interesting theory that could be true.

1. I absolutely HATE the West character (and the boring actor who plays him). So annoying. He's gonna be Claire's love interest, unfortunately. But maybe it won't last long and he either dies or becomes a villain.

2. After watching the latest episode again I think I have figured out who the main baddie is :naughty

I foresee the cheerleader maybe running away with him. There's a triange between her, him and the dad that's coming and I am not looking forward to it.

I can see him do something like showing off his power to her by taking her on a flight and then dropping her from high in the hair when she won't admit to having her regenerative powers to prove that he knows she does. Can see it from a mile away, I tell you. Of course, something like that would be much better had he not cheated by being a creepy Peeping Tom. In any case, that character needs to make a complete 180 or GO AWAY very soon.

Anyone want to hear my main bad guy theory?

Yeah I love hearing the theories... especially when they turn out to be wrong. :monkey3

Hahaha! Yeah, well it could very well turn out to be wrong but here goes...

I think the new "main" bad guy will turn out to be the same British guy posing as Kensei in 17th Century Japan. Why do I say this? Well, mostly it's just a strong hunch but there have been some hints. Most notably in the latest episode after he is shown healing, Hiro says "Godsend". It then cuts to a scene with Molly with the first shot being of one of her drawings of the villain's eyes with the Godsend symbol.

Also note, while he appears to be a jovial chap he hasn't really expressed any heroic aspects whatsoever. On the contrary, he's quite obviously vain and self-centered, which is the starting point for many classic villains.

My hunch is that he not only has these healing powers (like Claire) but also does not really age and is still around in the present day of the story. Perhaps he was the first person to have Special Abilities and established The Company but was ultimately betrayed by the rest (including the Petrellis, Linderman, Nakomura, etc) when they discovered his true nature.

Again, it's just a hunch and I could be way off. But I've read so many comic books, graphic novels and basic mythology that this revelation would not surprise me in the least.

Also, I don't think he's really the historical Kensei from the show's mythology, either.... that is obviously going to turn out to be HIRO himself.

Meh, don't feel like digging back in the thread but I think I said this myself quite some time ago. :lol

Good theory Irish.

The first time I saw the guy who killed Sulu I immediately thought about the British Kensei.

Hmm...

You could be right, IrishJedi. There's something not right about that guy. And there's something Clark Kent/Lex Luther (from early seasons of Smallville) about his relationship with Hiro.

It is an interesting theory, and I think it would make a good story line. I always liked that fella when he was on ALIAS. Sark was a pretty cool bad guy.

BTW Do you think it was something physical that attacked Angela Petrelli or maybe something that attacked her psychically. I think that would be pretty cool.
