Yeah, I still have faith as well... I'm sure it'll pick up. And I'm not usually this impatient, but for some reason the stalling really bugs me on this particular show. I feel like I've watched the same episode for the past 3 weeks. Thank GOD for DVR too, if I had to watch this show as it airs I think I'd go insane. Seems like they break for commercials every 60 seconds.

On the positive side, I'm very excited to see where they take Peter's character this season. He's got potential to be such a badass. Let's hope his next face-off with Sylar (or another super-villain) is not as lackluster as last season's finale.

That's the problem with Peter and Sylar, they're both way too powerful. Peter has amnesia and Sylar has a block of some kind on his powers. If both of them were working at full capacity it would be game over for the series. So they'll have to kill one or both of them off unless they go with a different handicap every season.

I guess I'm upset about for show for making me wait for the great episode which I know they can do. Why do we have to start again with the Heroes in isolation, slowly discovering each other again, coincidental meetings on the road AGAIN. Half of everybody should already know everybody anyway. Just because the formula works last season, they shouldn't start ALL over again. I just almost feel, that last season didn't exist and we are starting a whole new show, which shouldn't happen....rant over.
I saw Tim Kring interviewed on G4 and he touched on how the new direction the show's taking in season 2. What he mentioned was 3 chapters in the season, not 1 long chapter all season long. And less dangling questions that take forever to get to the payoff.

But I think what you're talking about -- the soap opera-like tension created by the splintered story-lines that seldom overlap and seemingly exist independantly (but we all know they're going to be tied up in the end) -- I think that's the point of the show. And if the show ever gives us resolution to that tension, like at the end of last season, the show's job is to recreate it again -- which is why this season started so many months later.

I enjoyed the episode, but when I got on here and realized that there really wasn't too much to talk about with it I realized it was kinda lack luster. :(

I think Monica's character is pretty cool. Still can't stand the twins, I hope Sylar turns them in to baddies, and I hope fly boy is a baddie too. But unless I'm seeing things (which I may be since no one mentioned it) Claire was kissing the shadow in the painting with her daddy dead (am I hallucinating that?). That should make for an interesting place to go with the show. I hope it doesn't happen though, losing him would hurt the show I think.

Well, I'll grudgingly admit that this week drew me in a little more and kept me watching than the first three episodes did. Could it be because we take a break from the "Lucky Bourne Charms" story and stayed away from Hiro's SoCal Japan vacation? Maybe...

But...I'm still not thrilled with Claire's "deja vu" storyline...it just repeats too much of what she did last year (right down to the cheerleading boredom) and I just have a hard time buying that she and her father would just forget everything they've just experienced from last year and just jump into some standard teenage angst storyline. Dull.
Annnnd...I REALLY dislike flying-creepy-stalker boy. No chemistry with these two at all...he is truly grating to listen to and watch (he looks like a casting reject from SmallDawsonville or something).

I got a kick out of the Matt's mystery picture...freezing it out on the big screen for a closer look has pretty much dashed my "Kensei as Linderman" idea (and shows the shot's really bad photoshopping...heck, the lighting source for everyone in the shot isn't even the same..it's a pretty bad cut-n-paste job)...could he be Papa Pertrelli instead? The guy positioned next to Mama Petrelli with his head turned to the side looks vaguely like an older version of Kensei...which could help explain how he has the same power as Claire, being her grandfather and all...could he be the mystery attacker as well? We'll see...of course, that lends to the idea that flyboy might be related to her too....eeewww....a little ESB incest, anyone? Ugh...

The whole Sylar with the twins thing is creepy...we'll see where that goes. It seems like they are basically re-writing Sylar..."What? No...he didn't DIE last year he just...well, we'll get back to ya..."

It's pretty obvious that Micah is going to end up getting into some trouble...how long will it be before he's robbing atm's for his cousin? And will Nichelle wake up and sing a chorus of "The skies are green and glowing"? (that's a reference for the other old folks who might be here...hehe)

Monica seems like she could get interesting...her "power" could be fun...one thing about it that creeped me out a bit was the use of the same visual device to illustrate it that was used with Sylar in the finale...that flash of images in his eyes before he dies...er, I mean passes out. It was just odd...
While she looks more interesting than the ooze twins, it's still just too bad that the show runners feel the need to keep introducing new characters instead of creating more compelling storylines for the characters we know from last year. Oh well...

This week was a small step forward, but I'm still not entirely sold on this year's direction yet...

I was surprised that they went ahead and showed the entire picture of the whole group of founders. I was kind of hoping that they would leave room for some cool surprise guest stars in the future, but it looks like the group consists of the people we already know from last season, plus some additional folks from the extras casting department. A little bit of a bummer there, in terms of what they could have done later in this season and on.

Tim Kring talked about the photo here(also features questions for Kristen Bell). The woman between Greg Grunbergs "dad" and Bob is Johanna Cassidy of Blade Runner fame.

Earlier today I was thinkin' that I would prefer it if the Kensei storyline didn't have an impact on the present and was just a nice little side story.

does anyone know what the significance of the cockroach is in connection to sylar? i remember seeing it season 1 when the company was holding him & then we see it again after he brains the guy that was going to call the police -- is it a reference to anything?

Also at the end of Season One there was a cockroach on the manhole cover in the last episode. I believe there was one in the opening scene of the first episode too.

Did the guy Sylar killed have an unrevealed power as well? I remember hearing the watch ticking noise before he followed him into the store which seems like Sylar "hears" when he realizes that someone has a power. The ticking was heard after he realized the twins have a power as well.

I think this season has also put to rest the Sylar eating the brains to absorb the powers debate. After he killed Candice, his hands were full of blood but there was none on his face which he should have at least some smearing of blood.

Think he killed the kid in Mexico to get the keys and leave with the idiot twins. The kid still had the top of his skull on. I don't actually think he eats brains, just examines them to see how their powers work.

A roach is referenced or seen in several episodes. When Mohinder is giving the speach to his class he says something to effect that if anything is created in the image of god it is a Cockroach. Later we see him stomping on one when he is in his fathers apartment. There is also a roach on the bed with Matt when they lock him up the first time I believe. I don't think the roach is directly related to Sylar but maybe has more to do with the something bigger watching all of them.

I never thought that Sylar ate the brains. I figured his power was fixing things and finding small little things that are wrong or need to be adjusted. Which is why he is so good with the watches. He needs to be able to open them up and see how the work. The other aspect of his power is he can change his own brain so it works like the others. Which ties into the soul is most certainly in the brain thing from Suresh Sr. conversations with Syler.

I've nothing more to add than the great comments concerning clues/etc already laid out here....but just count me as one more who's rapdily losing interest in the current storyline and characters. Bor-ing.:sleep

I have to agree the show is loosing me with recycled plot line. I am going to stick with it to see if characters I think have powers do. Hopefully it will pick up I don't care for the wonder twins but I am not ready to give up on it.

Last nights episode didn't exactly help me keep fire burning. What is happening with this show. The first season I couldn't turn away from this season so far has been just blah imo.

I enjoyed last night episode more than any so far primarily because it didn't have Claire's story which has been soooooooo boring.

I really like the Nightmare guy and I am dying to know what is up with Nathan's burned twin.

Last night's episode also confirmed that the Heroes powers will be evolving and growing stronger. Very cool.

KRISTEN BELL! And she's evil!

I really liked this episode - it was good seeing that Parkman's powers will get more impressive. The Hiro story is dragging on though and nothing was really moved along with this episode.

Still liking the show, and I'm kind of looking forward to Monica dressing up as a ninja and St. Joaning around K-ville.

I'm still hooked. Hiro in ancient Japan doesn't interest me at all though. His story has a kind of Hurcules/Xena vibe to it for me right now. Too hokey.:monkey4 But the rest is great, even Claire's story.
And yeah, what's up with crispy Nathan? I haven't figured that out yet.
