I really, really liked the first part of the show... but was kinda bored by the end of it. Just seemed to be the same old, same old and a bit tiresome.

I don't know, I'm kinda getting bored with Heroes. It's spinning off into too many directions for me. Hopefully it'll keep me interested in upcoming shows. :huh

Same here. I've been watching this show for 2+ seasons now, and I have no idea what it's about. It's so random.

Once again, Sylar was the only interesting thing going on tonight. The Parkman stuff is just flat out retarded.

I hope they tie it all together nicely but for now I feel the same way. It's going in too many directions and for me it isn't as fun to watch as it was in the beginning.

So let's recap:

Niki, Tracy and the still unseen Barbara were all altered as babies and given abilities. Niki's dual personality was caused by an issue in her childhood but in fact she could have subconsciously been trying to connect with her lost siblings who were separated after the experiement's success.

616 Peter went to the future with Peter (who took the raspy voice lessons from Christian Bale) where we found out that a bullet in the back of the head can kill even immortals? Gabriel's son gets killed in a battle with Daphne (who apparently is married to Matt), Knox and Evil Claire. 616 Peter learns at this point about his blood relation to Sylar/Gabriel. After Noah gets killed by accident he goes nuclear ala the original plotline of Peter going Nuclear and destroying the world but actually does it and destroys Costa Verde.

Nathan is back on track via the Ghost Linderman to being President of the United States and again within four years lands in office. This time with Tracy Strauss at his side. Nathan saves 616 Peter who reveals his hunger as Sylar predicted and after seemingly killing his brother ironically since he was primarily concerned with saving Nathan teleports back to Level 5 to confront Sylar.

Mohinder apparently turns into a Cockroach creature a kin to the analogies and metaphors he used in the first season to try and explain the evolution and generic traits of the original set of Heroes. It was a nice nod to those who realized it when he began to hissing and shake like the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach which is the biggest and arguably the most resilient of the species. For those who needed a serious point in the direction there was also the cockroaches the came out of the sink when 616 Peter arrived and hissed quietly to themselves before he starts talking to Mohinder.

Matt through the cocktail of homemade drugs and music apparently sees the entire episode and goes on his quest to stop the events following a turtle.

The real question of who creates the formula that destroys humanity is either whomever stole the two pieces and hired Daphne, Dr. Zimmerman's crew that may or may not be associated with the company or Mohinder. Apparently threw the previews as well we find out that Nathan was given these abilities which plays into the speech he gave in the future about some being given and some being born and the lines that divide them.

Oh and some how this is all tied up to Adam Monroe who Hiro freed from his living death in the last five seconds of the episode playing into Angela's vision where he was behind Knox as a villain.

It seems like this episode more than any other had serious ties to "Genesis" the premiere episode of Heroes and raised more questions than it answered.

For the first time, I think Heroes is starting to lose me. I have always defended this show. I've defended it through it's crappy season one finale. I've defended it through it's chopped up writers strike season two. But tonights episode was just lame on so many levels. I dont understand what the writers are trying to do here.

Why are we screwing around with time again? Why did you kill Isac just to have another paint the future guy come along? Why is Nathan trying to be President again. Why did you kill Nikki and bring in another person that looks just liker her? Why are people able to see the future by eating some african crap? Claire is a horrible bad guy and looks terrible as a brunette. Do they have to save the world every season? Sylar and Peter are too powerful. Can we get rid of their powers already and give them just one?

Well, I think that killing Isaac, and having someone else have his powers, just shows that people with abilities are out there and even some with similar abilities. I'm betting that they will eventually show someone going back in time, patient zero, "infecting" someone with the virus that lets you have abilities and then letting it spread across the world through the generations.

I do agree with Nikki though, hated her and hate the "new" her. I was so happy when I thought she was finially dead.

Again, I agree with the "evil" Claire is simply just retarded. Don't know if it's the character going "evil" that just pisses me off, or the pathetic attempt at the actress to act "evil" that gets me. I think it's the later.

As to Sylar and Peter being too powerful, sure they have tons of powers, but there is also a downfall for having them all. We learn that Sylar's power come with a "hunger" for other powers; which really doesn't make much sense now, but I'm sure that'll come up again. As for Peter, he actually has the power to go back and change the world, which makes him a sad hero; he has the power, but he can never actually accomplish what he wants.

I think that Peter needed Sylar's power for more than just the obvious reason. Remember, Sylar's power isn't just about duplicating a power. It's also about understanding how it works to its fullest. That's why even Sylar knew more about Claire than she did herself. Peter's power is about duping too, but more on an intuitive level. There's no understanding there. Peter's just a hapless emo schmuck with no sense of just how powerful he really is.
I suspect that Peter's more intuitive absorption power, combine with Sylar's insight ability might enable him to be the single most powerful being on the planet. Right now, he's got the powers, but no instruction manual

In general, spreading all the characters out so thin really doesn't work too well for me. I enjoy the episodes of the show when they focus on just a few heroes or the episodes where the heroes come together; not having 8 minutes of 7 different heroes; what's dumb.

OH, another thing that bugged me. When Future Peter got shot, the haitian was there so he couldn't use his powers. I'm assuming the bullets went right through him, so when the haitian left, he would heal himself back up no? AND where was Sylar after he blew up Costa Verde. He had Claire's healing powers, so he should have survived. GOD THIS SHOW !

:lol:lol Thank you! I was thinking the same thing while watching tonights episode. I don't recall future Peter with that voice in the last few episodes (maybe I was blocking it) but once he and present Peter were in the future I noticed it and was annoyed right away. Thankfully he was killed off rather quickly.

Tonights episode was ok (not like the previous three). I have to say that after tonight's episode I think characters need to be trimmed out...

-Parkman needs to go. His character is just 'there' and frankly is very stagnant.
-This whole Tracey storyline needs to go somewhere or just kill her off.
-Nathan is getting very boring and I wouldn't be sad to see him go.
-Mohinder needs to die (at least at this point). If they can salvage his character somehow that would be fine but for now he is yet another stagnant, unexciting character.

This episode just seemed to drag and just wasn't well executed IMO.

These two things that Caedus mentioned sums it up nicely for me. Evil Claire sucks so far and everybody's character was spread too thin. Just because she dyes her hair black and wears too much eyelineer doesn't make her a good baddy and the writers should focus more on a few individuals per episode rather than trying to rush the story by bringing the whole cast in at one time.

I like evil Claire, getting past the visual cues of her darker personality she seems like she doesn't care what it takes to get the job done. Maybe I'm a fool, but I think she would have shot little Noah if it would have helped take down Sylar. Speaking of which, I wonder who Sylar had a kid with, and what's he doing living in the Bennett's house? At first I thought it was him and Claire, until I remembered he may be her uncle.

Wait, who did Sylar have a kid with? Aince Noah was his parter, he probably have died and Sylar named the kid after him.

Does anybody remember what happened to the girl that could mimic physical abilities just by seeing them. I think she was Micah's cousin or something? Did she die or what?

If I recall correctly she got out of the warehouse but Niki didn't. I reckon she's chillin' in New Orleans with Micah and Niki's dead body in the living room.

Okay scar Peter is killed because the Haitian is damping his powers when Peter's shot? So why didn't he regenerate when the Haitian left? And why did Dark Claire leave 616 Peter alone so he could kill the President and teleport out?

I like Parkman - I'm curious as to where they're going with him, and I like Tracy too - guess I'm in the minority on those characters. Little nit-pick - wouldn't 14 year old Molly look a lot different then her 10 year old self? I guess they did it so they wouldn't have to recast, but seemed pretty lame.

I don't really have any serious problems with the show - I'll go where they take me - but the little inconsistencies are starting to bug.

I assume that once future Peter is shot and killed he can't reactivate his powers. Since he learns others powers, he would probably have to think/focus on activating his different powers that aren't natural to him including his healing power and I don't think you can have thoughts when you are dead. It still seems inconsistent with some of the other things they have shown though so who knows.

Dark Claire was just following what Nathan told her to do when he asked to be left alone with Peter. She even asked him if she should listen because he was asking as her father or as President and he answered her "Both.".

I'm with you there Dave. I like Parkman and Tracy too. I kinda thought the same thing about Molly but I didn't really pay attention to her.

The thing that bugs me about the whole Parkman story is that he can see the future by eating that slop and listening to the walkman. Maybe the African has the power to give that ability to others though. I don't know.

But in the first season, Peter had the glass thing in his head and was dead for awhile until someone took it out. Assuming that the bullets went right through him, he would have regenerated.

I was editing my post when you quoted me so maybe I explained it better in my edited post.

Claire was also dead in the first season when she had the stick in her head until it was removed during the autopsy. They have kind of made is sound like they could both die when shot in the base of the head or decapitated like in the future vision Mama Patrelli had. There is some weakness there.
