Those commercials are annoying, not just because it alerts you to a twist, but because I feel like it cheapens the story by making it seem as if the twist is a gimmick to get people to watch as opposed to a part of the story that would occur no matter what. Of course maybe the twist is a gimmick to get people to watch if ratings have been dropping. Of course that could also be why they advertised it that way, to get people who haven't been watching to tune in.

That worked for me in one of the best ER episodes I've seen (which isn't many). The twist was also done in the best way I've seen too. It was the Valentine's Day episode and everything before was enough to make me forget there was a twist coming (which is why I tuned in) and then that final twist came and it was pretty shocking. Great episode imo.

Are you talking about the appearance of Arthur Petrelli? If so that cat has been out of the bag for a long time. Robert Forester was cast and he looks nothing like the picture that was with the company's death threats.

His power supposedly revolves around Probability manipulation or Psychometry similar to the X-Men's Longshot.

If they never wanted anyone to use the formula again, why didn't they just destroy it :huh

I absolutely loved Season 1 even liked Season 2, I'd have to say Irish and I are some of the few really hardcore diehards on these boards for this show, and this season beats them both for me. I love the ties back to Genesis and the initial season and some things coming full circle.

I am one of them fans too!

Monday is the only night that I do my homework when I come home, just so I can see this show!:rock

Tonight got me interested again... although do they always do the annoying recap at the beginning? Didn't remember seeing that before, kinda felt like they were hoping people who haven't been watching now would be happy to get caught up in 3 minutes :lol

They've always done "Previously, on HEROES..." recaps, but not with a constant narrator like they started tonight. My assumption is this was added very recently do to feedback from viewers so far. Interesting.

Yeah, I remember the "previously on", but this seemed a lot more structured and kind of more dumbed-down than before. Like I said, my guess is to try and bring mid-season viewers into the fold.

The stuff with Mohinder is really starting to piss me off. Stop with the horror/sci-fi "homages" and just kill the guy already. I can't believe how badly they've screwed over that character.

Rest of the episode was decent.

Yeah, Mohinder really is pretty weak... never bothered me that much, but the Fly/Roach stuff is kinda lame. Although maybe he'll kill off the remaidning wonder-twin which will help to redeem him :lol

On a side note, does any body remember what happened to Peter's Irish girlfriend. Last I remembered she was in the 28 Days Later future. Did she just get left there?

Bah. A lot of it has been getting back on-track. Some of the stuff they did towards the end of Season 1 (and are doing so far this season) rivals anything from Season 1, imho.

I wish I felt the same. I loved this show in season 1, but ever since the lackluster finale of that season my interest has just kept slipping. Even Hiro and Ando's R2-D2/C-3PO schtick that was one of the highlights of the first season is wearing thin on me. If it weren't for Sylar (and the fact that there's nothing else on at that time), I'm not sure I'd still be watching.

Some, not all. I liked Sylar sans powers, gave his character depth that he was that menacing and unstoppable with or without his abilities. Gave him an unstoppable force quality that fits and makes him more interesting when you add the abilities. We saw Peter come into his own in Season 2 as well as Hiro. Unfortunately while Hiro is slowing moving past that Peter seems to be stuck in Clark from Smallville mode where his innocence has moved into gullability. The introduction of the twelve was great to get some history around the Heroes and where they will go based on the Sins of the Past...Season 2 had a lot more redeeming qualities than people give it credit for.
