Yeah, Nathan's switch to follow his father pissed me off last night. He now has the same superiority complex as his father.

But why didn't Future Hiro just kill Arthur??!! That seems to be the easiest way to stop the bad future from happening!!

The real question is why didnt Aurther kill present Hiro? Aurther (the most powerful of all at this point) shows up, kills the future reader, and then just mind wipes years off of hiro's mind? He obviously doesnt have an issue killing people (Parkman's father). OR better yet, just steal his power like you do everyone else. Then you don't have to worry about him. OR steal his power and THEN kill him!!

Just another example of plot driving character choice.

True! But if you kill Hiro, IMO you pretty much kill the show. I highly dobt I would watch it again if Hiro died.

So does everyone thing Elle is actually dead or what?? Because Sylar already had her power with his real power, taking them through empathy?? I am very confused on that from last night! Help me to understand!!

Well the future Sylar has a kid, so I would think it was from Elle. The next episode will open up with him chickening out and becoming "good" again. rinse and repeat.

Yea, he already had her power, there was no real reason to give her an Indian cut.....

Rule #1, Kring: Focus on characters FIRST, plot second. That's where you've gone off the rails.

Kring has said publically that he doesn't care about the stories he was much more interested in telling origins. He doesn't have a passion for ongoing stories so a lot of the failure is from half assing the job.

I think the writers have got in way over their heads with the whole time travel thing. It's too complex of a thing for them to work out correctly when dealing with weekly episodes.

Nah, they are just not trying or unaware of where they ulitmately want to go. The first season handled it beautifully and the 2nd handled it okay, this season there is too much with no point of importance whereas in Season 1 it was Kirby Plaza (the focal) and in Season 2 it was Japan and Adam Monroe.

Well the future Sylar has a kid, so I would think it was from Elle. The next episode will open up with him chickening out and becoming "good" again. rinse and repeat.

You'd think but it wouldn't be the first time this show has wondered into continuity errors. Look at the Caitlyn debacle where Kring is more than happy just to let it die unanswered because he has "too much other stuff going on". Nothing really that has occurred in the future has stuck. Ninja Hiro disappeared, even in this season he looked the same in the future four years ahead which would be two years past the original four years ahead yet Peter Petrelli still has his facial scar? The facial scar that he keeps as a memory of what happened to him (which we never found out) yet nothing else stayed the same? If what they did undid the future completely then why is Future Peter still the same. Claire was a punisheresque villain yet in the last episode she reverts to being weak? Talk about a build up that goes nowhere. Sylar was a good guy with a child Noah, yet he kills (or at least we are to think he does) the only love interest he has had thus far and the namesake of his kid recently slit his throat.

Its like the writers are going forward forgetting what they've done just a few episodes back. The continuity errors are tremendous and wrapping them at the end never works.

This show is spinning in cycles going absolutely nowhere at the moment. I honestly have no idea what's going on from episode to episode. It contradicts itself so often I don't know what's important and what's throw away. A mess. Sahme 'cause season one was great...

Seriously!! I love this show, but it's ^^^^ing hard to remember half the time what is really going on.

I actually thought they had explained the scar on Peter's face, but ^^^^, now I can't remember because of all the trash floating through the middle of these episodes!! Argh!!

I was pointing all of this out a month ago and kept facing the "Its JUST a show stop over analyzing" rebuttles. THe concept for this show is outstanding, but its poorly put together.

Heroes is a GREAT example of why most successful superhero stories have clear cut good vs evil theme. Without the known good vs. known evil, its too easy for characters to get lost in the role of flip flopping and they become useless. Imagine if Superman was as easy to sway as Nathan Petrelli! He'd be firing the gun and catching the bullet at every turn! With this years Heroes slogan being "choose a side" I expected that people would CHOOSE a damn side and STICK with it.

Don't know if it's a superhero show, but Battlestar Galactica sure does a great job of blurring good/evil. I was hoping Heroes would be that type of mentality, but alas, it has failed miserably

Yea, he already had her power, there was no real reason to give her an Indian cut.....

If I remember correctly, the power wasn't the same as if he had cut her head open and taken it. That's what she was trying to train him with before the eclipse.

I loved last night's episode. Seth and Brecken are ^^^^ing hilarious. And it's so good to have Syler back. That was my biggest complaint about this season.

I may have missed something but the only time his scar was referenced was that even though he can heal he keeps it as a reminder of how he got it. It was all so vague with very little answers one way or another. Either way if you look at it in a continuity lens it occurred during "Genesis" (The first official Season) and was four years into the future. Throughout the past three years all other Heroes alterations seem to have been reinvented and/or wiped out save Scarred Peter, indicating that whatever occurred to create the scar still exists and wasn't tied to the issues that endangered the Earth. Its been three years since Genesis, if the scar is still there four years into Villain's Premiere which essentially seven years past Genesis then he should get his scar any day now.

He has lost his powers twice already with no scarring occurring....the time during the Eclipse would have been perfect to tie it all together yet.....it didn't happen.

That's what I was thinking Mike. It would happen during the eclipse, when not only didn't he have his powers like the others, he had no powers to even get back when the eclipse was over.

If I remember correctly, the power wasn't the same as if he had cut her head open and taken it. That's what she was trying to train him with before the eclipse.

He did have the same power as Elle but she was trying to teach him how to aim and shoot the same way she does.

Are these happening across the same amount of time as the episodes are premiered? I always thought they were on their own time, that basically it's only been like 1 year or so.

Thats the difference though between empathy absorbtion and cutting her head open. Sylar's power isnt absorbing powers really, its complete understanding of how they work. When he cuts the heads open and looks at the brain he understands exactly how they work and how to use them. With the empathy thing he gained her power but not the knowledge of how to use the power.

Help is on the way?

Fuller's Return to Heroes Confirmed
Source:The Hollywood Reporter December 3, 2008

"Pushing Daisies" creator/executive producer Bryan Fuller is close to a two-year overall deal with Universal Media Studios, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Fuller will rejoin the UMS-produced drama "Heroes," which he left after the first season to launch ABC/WBTV's "Daisies," and will develop new projects for the studio.

Fuller, who is wrapping post-production on the final episodes of "Daisies'" 13-episode second-season order, is expected to officially come on board "Heroes" starting with Episode 20.

His exact role on the sci-fi drama has not been determined, but he is expected to play a key role in the writers room alongside "Heroes" creator/executive producer/showrunner Tim Kring.

Pushing Daisies :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

But I guess this can mean only good for Heroes

So Fuller comes back for 2-3 episodes? Not enough to save the season.

So anyone disturbed by the wildly uneven CG smoothing on Sandra and Noah? In one shot Sandra looks like a mannequin and the next she looks like her 16 year older self.

I've been cutting this show some slack, but this episode just pissed me off. And it's not just killing Elle or Sylar's flipback. Since when does the strength of the power being dampened make a difference to the Haitian? And if I were the Haitian I would have taken the gun from Peter and smacked him on the back of the head - talk about being unable to act! Hamlet is mister split-decision compared to Peter.

I did like the moment between Claire and Noah though - Hayden did a real good job with that I thought.

I wonder how the fans will feel after next week's episode. Will there be enough interest to return to the show in the Spring? If the second half of the season sees the ratings drop even more, then I wonder if a fourth season is in danger.

I thought the scene between Hiro and his mother was one of the best in the entire series. Then they ruin the whole thing by taking his powers away. Again.
