Of all the character inconsistencies and plot holes - you're concerned about the age difference between Daphne and Parkman?

Nathan's character seems to shift in the wind and hopefully they'll find an explanation as to why Noah is helping him - but the way the show has been written lately, I doubt it.

And Peter is able to absorb Mohinder's strength, so you'd think he'd be able to fly. If a plane is crashing I'd rather be on the outside than on the inside.

Monday is becoming overwhelming to catch all the shows I like - thank god for Tivo:
The Closer
Trust Me
Big Bang Theory
How I Met Your Mother
Chuck
House
Heroes
24
Medium

Isn't Parkman a little bit old to be involved with Daphne?? Greg Grunberg (Parkman) is 42, and Brea Grant (Daphne) is 27.
What's wrong with that? I dated a 42-year-old when I was 27 :angelsmil
They didn't invent those little blue pills for nothing
- just kidding, just kidding! :monkey3

I like Heroes and enjoy the show a lot, but sometimes I feel there are so many plot twists that it's hard to oversee the overlying story arc.

Nathan's change does annoy me. It's almost like they got the idea for this season toward the end of last one and just had him do a 180.

My personal guess on why Noah is helping them is that he's making sure Claire is safe. Alternately he might be working with them in an effort to bring them down. Or maybe he just doesn't want to work for Copy Kingdom anymore.

Peter was always TOO powerful in my opinion, and they had to find ways to keep him from doing the obvious and utilizing his powers to their full extent (amnesia, power loss, etc.)

Maybe now, with his original powers gone thanks to his father, they are taking the opportunity to reinvent his character. Perhaps the shot gave him an altered version of his original ability, and now he is more limited in his potential and can only take one power at a time and only by physical contact. That will actually require them to be a little more creative in how they use him and they won't need to play down his potential all the time.

It's amazing to me that Lost is twice as complex yet easier to follow because the writing is stronger and the plotting and character/story arcs are properly developed and executed. This season of Heroes has been all over the place, and my wife and I were struggling to remember where all the characters were at last night since their situations and personalities change every two episodes.

That's all fine and good Tom, but where's Molly??????????????
I just ask because I can't remember them dumping her somewhere and the way they had Parkman and Mohinder emotionally invested in this child the logic of them suddenly letting her disappear is maddening.

And Dave, I agree about Nathan... The writing of his character has been done so poorly that logic flies out the window in regards to his decisions-- but bring back Worf as Obama.:rotfl

I'd bet that Lost has the ability to be more complex yet easier to follow (not for me) is that the writers know the ending and the big things that need to happen along the way. I'll bet they have a massive timeline and outlines that they use, similar to Rowling used for Harry Potter to keep things smoothly. It seems that after the second season there wasn't a clear direction (I think there was in season 2, it was just a boring direction) there wasn't a clear direction and there was too much "I'm making this up as I go along". Which is really kind of sad given the strike gave them plenty of time to think about where to go and how to do it this season.

Molly was sent into the future. We saw her several years into the future looking exactly like she did when we last saw her. So time travel must have been involved.

No, I'm not serious.

:D

It was a big mistake to use a child actress in scenes set in the future, and their explanation of how she was sent away somewhere safe is a great example of the poor writing and planning on this show.

I know-- I'm kidding about your seriousness...ness.
It's the Walt/LOST factor.

I'm thinking Noah is just helping out to protect Claire. In one of the future episodes he was working together (as well as Matt) with Nathan/Sylar to keep Claire safe. Something like he helps them catch the bad ones so he can protect the good ones.

Age difference isnt a big deal, my mom and dad had 15 years between one another.....not like two people can be crazy for one another and go "whoa, 15 years....nevermind". Plus isnt Matt one of the writters (cant fully remember), so of course he puts Matt together with a good looking gal......and expanding his power again.

Hiro is gonna get his powers back though right? Not sure if the Super Bowl commecial spoiled anything or not, but it did show him use the time power, and also showed that Sylar was still alive.

Damn, just got to watch this episode and it was awesome!!!! I just try to enjoy the show, so much of the stuff you guys are talking about doesn't bother me except for Nathan.

I could see he was going bad when his father got ahold of him, but why is he doing it really?? There has to be something else to it all!!

True, but in their defense she grew up awfully fast given that less than a year had passed last time we saw her in the present and she was clearly taller than she was when first introduced.

Personally I would prefer to have the same person play the role and imagine them being the correct age (unless its a really radical age difference) than to have someone else play the part.

I'm not "concerned" about it, just thought it was kinda weird. I just chalked it up to one of the many things that the writers have lost track of. Y'know, just one more thing to make fun of about this show.

I can't figure out if it's been so long, that I've lost track of who has what powers now, or if it's the writers that forgot who has what power.

This is starting to feel like a Civil War knock off, but since we will probably never see Civil War done in any other form, I'm not complaining.

So where are those "I'm with Nathan" and "I'm with Claire" banners :lol

That would be my guess... but the whole "gotta protect" Claire angle is played out. They try to protect, she gets angsty and rebels, intrigue ensues, lather, rinse and repeat :lol

but that might of been the reason nathan and his ma were trying to keep her out of it, cause if they had gone after her as well Noah wouldnt have helped. So when Noah saw her on the plane it was kinda of a deal breaker or something....either way its way to early in this season to tell.

Might be played out, but father protecting child wouldnt change in real life.

Also, Nathan is going after his own brother, I doubt he would have issues taking down his estranged daughter. Way I figure it, Nathan needed Noah's skills and offered Noah asylum for Claire as long as he did everything Nathan asked.

no one watched the show last night? Looks like Peter has only one power at a time now. Still really dislike Matt being a fortune teller now.
