Even I'm having a hard time not seeing the flaws in the show. :monkey2 Matt being the artist is annoying. I don't see how that power is connected to his power or why he has it. Maybe if there was a suitable explanation it wouldn't be so bad. I also find it annoying that HRG is basically doing the same thing he's done in every other season, working with the bad guys to protect Claire. Hasn't he learned it doesn't work out that well. And why do they keep seperating her from the other Heroes and locking her in her room. I think it would be better if HRG turned against Nathan in this episode and he and Claire hightailed it and went on the lamb with the rest of our Heroes.

the end of the episode was like the begining of lost...whats up with that? A plane crash now. Whats next, a strange island that turns back time. :lol

Here's what I'm thinking with Peter's power.

When he took the formula and got back his power he went to his original power--which was to take on the power of whomever he touched, one at a time. So, a long time ago he must have touched someone that had the power to gain anyone's power as long as they got close enough--Maybe his mom, Angela Petrelli has that power and so since he hasn't seen or touched her since he got back his power then he's stuck with one power at a time.

that's the only thing i could come up with. so far i'm not that happy with the way this season is starting out. i've been rushing home from my class only to be let down.

Did I miss something?... Did the speedster die from getting shot?... Last I saw she was getting shot and then Parkman later wants payback---- was I out of the room when they had her death scene?

I'm really getting soured on several aspects of this show--- It used to be must see... Now I think I might just PVR it and then after a few months I'll probably end up deleting it without watching it like I have with so many other marginal shows (Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles exhibit A).

Eh, last night's episode was ok. Nothing too major really happened and it seemed more like a filler. I missed the first minute or two of the episode, how did everybody survive the plane crash?

Don't care. When I found out Peter could only use one power at a time....I basically lost interest in the whole show. Him and Sylar were ying and yang. The promise of a show down between the two was awesome!

Second, Hiro sees Ando kill Hiro. The logic was Hiro must be alive, because Ando kills Hiro. Based on that logic, Peter should still have his abilities. Speedster shouldnt be dead. Parkman and Speedster should have Molly. Syler should be having a son any day now.......

The thing is though, Nathan changed that whole timeline with his going evil! If he woulda died, things would be different. Well, he didn't, so.... And also, the Shanti Virus wasn't released, so that's another timeline disruption.

Oh I agree! However, the writers threw the "ando kills hiro" in the future reference in there because it was meaningful. Basically, that is Heroes major issue. They pick and choose thier continuity based on the new season/directions. If a story doesnt play into the new paradigm its forgoten.

Another issue...Parkman says "Our powers arent enough to go up against these guys. They were ready for all of us". That makes no sense. They got the JUMP on all of them. Not one was confronted directly. Parkman was shot through the window. Mohinder was tricked by HRG. Peter was literally stabbed in the back by Nathan. These commandos arent immune to powers! Parkman should have grabbed hold of Ando and wiped all of the commandos minds clean!

Biggest flaw....Peter having only one power at a time....

Second biggest flaw...poor use of powers!

Yeah, I hate how they were just sitting around on the hill. ^^^^, move your asses already!!!! ^^^^, Daffny coulda used Andos Supercharge to grab them all and bounce out at a decent speed at least!!

Yeah, the plot holes are big, but I really try to ignore them as I love the show. ^^^^, it's not like I'm goona stop watching, so........

That's about how I feel. Even with its flaws its an entertaining show and that's why I watch TV. When I want something more than just entertainment I prefer to read.

Also I don't mind Peter only being able to use one power at a time. Otherwise he's too much like Superman and too powerful. That makes for a dull character imo. However this requires him to think and acquire some skills other than powers. So I think this could prove to be a good thing. The sad thing is I'm rather losing faith in the writer's abilities to make it so.

Better way to handle Peter's ability IMO:

Peter can absorb as many powers as he contacts, and can use a certain number (say 4) at a time but at 1/4 strength. Or 3 at a time at 1/3, 2 at 1/2 or 1 at full. Thus his greatest strength would be in learning to use powers in combination. For example, 1/2 powered mohinder strength +1/2 power Claire healing leads to an offensive character with defensive ability and thus is greater then either by themselves.

The obvious ultimate form would be to utilize Ando's supercharge ability at 1/2 to 1/4 strength, along with others.

Give it a chance, their best writer is returning to the show after a couple more of the current episodes. Hopefully, he can right the ship.

If Daphne is dead, that's the worst hero death ever. The way they handled Nathan telling about it on the phone I assumed he was making it up. But that didn't seem to be the case. Not just bad writing, but bad directing and bad editing.

And talk about continuity issues - at the trailer Matt is still in the orange jumpsuit - he realizes Daphne is in trouble and races off - he shows up at the crash site in civilian clothes.

Its definately possible. I would guess that his father had touched him at some point during his life...and of course his dad had the absorb any power ability. Maybe Peter just needs to touch anyone with the ability to house multiple abilities (i.e. Sylar).

Wow... last night was "meh" for me honestly...
For some reason I don't really care for any of the Heroes anymore...
maybe because they keep doing stupid stuff over and over again...
I only care for Hiro, but still...
I cared more for Sylar actually... but last night
With his new "Robin"-esque sidekick, pfff!!!

I don't know, but this show is on life-support...
if they don't fix things quick, I'm out!!!

Too complicated imo. Besides iirc Peter never used more than one power at a time anyway.

You're probably right. Actually, for the writers of Heroes I think any ability is a bit too complicated.

Heroes Brain Storming Session:

"Super Strength?? What the hell can we do with THAT? Hey... wait, I got an idea. What IF...the heroes SUPER powers were actually puppies. And instead of a PLOT line, we had people petting the puppies?"
