Finally got to watch last nights episode today and holy crap! This show just never dissapoints me. I really can't believe this thread is so slow. Hands down best TV show on right now. That's coming from someone who thought Dexter was gods gift to the human race :lol

Was that directed at me?

I can't be blinded by my love for Dexter. A table is a table and a midgets not a little person. If it sucks (seasons 5 & 6) I say it sucks and if its good (like season 7) I will say its good. But Homeland is definitely THE best show on TV right now. Hands down. No question. Which is a shame because Dexter's 7th season rules but Homeland is still better.

haha no that was directed at my self. Dexter has been my favorite show for 6 years. I have stuck with it through the good and bad, but I just cant deny Homeland and how much better it is than Dexter. Hell I never thought Dexter season 2 could ever be beat, but Homeland just blew it out of the water.

I think it's because Dexter is getting old and repetitive. (ya I said it)

Homeland is new, fresh and a show & story no one has ever seen like it before.

wonder how this is going to go on to season 3, if they remove the major players (Nazir, Brody, etc.) in this season, it'd be starting over with new threats?

That's because Clyde Philips and most of the Dexter writers left during season 5 to write for Homeland. We were left with season 6 being written by Scott Buck. Now at least we have Clyde Phillips back as a consultant for the 7th season and it is way better than the past two.

I'll always have a spot for Dexter but damn Homeland makes you care about every character. Carrie and Brody are perfect castings.

Anyone think that Carrie and Brody & Mike and Jessica are better together?

I kind of hope that is how it turns out (Carrie being with Brody, and Mike being with Jessica; lol too bad for the kids though). Obviously, I can't say that Jessica is doing anything "wrong" but hey, once you cheat, its game over for me. And yes, I know Brody cheated as well, so the same can be applied both ways I guess.

and from what I hear Homeland is a lot better as well. Apparently the original is on Hulu so I'll have to check it out, but I just can't see it coming close to being as good as Homeland. For once America didn't screw up a remake it seems. That's not to say there aren't others, but 9 out of 10 times they screw remakes up.

The Killing is perfect example of Americans screwing up a good foreign series.

Isn't the US version being screened concurrently with the Israeli version? In fact the 2nd season of the US version will finish before the Israeli version. Just sayin.

holy flip.............that last episode was intense. over the course of this series i had high hopes for brody coming to realize maybe he was being played as a pawn and his family would make him recognize he had too much to lose............
right up to the point where he was with the VP and his facial expressions went from panic to a vengeful look and the "i'm killing you".
dammit...........

Even so, I think Carrie is going to cover for him, or somehow it will leak about what the VP covered up. It will probably continue to go down an unrealistic path but I cannot seem them being able to easily continue the show without Brody.

yea, they have been building up the story of
hidden spies within the spies. the lengths that the CIA will go to cover up & cover there ass still has a lot more story to tell. plus nazir is still on the loose & brody still has a use to the CIA. brody better hope he never gets caught......lol

Sun episode had some seriously cheesey, over-the-top acting in it. Regarding the story, the Love triangle element is completely and utterly played out to me. The show's focus has gotten too far away from having badguys in it, to dealing with B.S issues involving how every other character on the show is an emotional cripple. And the daughter needs to die. Most annoying character in a tv show - ever!

It has got a bit silly in recent eps with some cheesy acting I agree Matt. Still one of the better shows out there - now that zombies has finished ( I call it 'The Rooker bros) I will be catching up with Boardwalk s3.
