Well, it isn't looking for for me. The other board member who contacted me last Friday and offered me theirs (for over double retail) hasn't contacted me since Saturday morning or replied to any of my PMs even though he has been on alot every day.

This is really disappointing, especially considering he has been on the boards for a long time and has alot of feedback. Hopefully it is just a miscommunication and he will come through with his offer, but it isn't looking good for me.

All I can say is that everytime I have offered my EX preorders up to other board members I have kept my word even when I could make more money selling it somewhere else.

If he stands you up, you got to tell us who stiffed you.

I really hope it doesn't come to that. Yeah, he could probably make an extra 100-200 if he tossed it on eBay right now, but he contacted me with an offer and I would think a deal is a deal and someone's word is worth something.

I hate in when sore losers starting giving out their opinion on the ethics of flipping collectible man-dolls.

I think everyone member is tired of the antiflipper arguements Mesa; seriously, flipping is part of human nature and is a healthy sign of a given collectibles market in general. For goodness sakes people, this is flipping a toy, not a necessity.

I don't see HT producing more of this particular Pred. Why should they? The deal was pretty clear from the start: this release would be a very limited one. Implication: some people would miss out. HT announced an edition size - perhaps not a completely comprehensible one, but still. Changing that now would only upset all those people that trust HT's statements regarding the limitation of this release. Personally, I think there are already enough people upset around here.

Some WL's will convert, there'll be more preds from HT in the future, this SDCC thing will cool down and eventually become history. Just try to avoid Ebay for a while. Prices will drop there too.

That's just it, they haven't. It's all been speculation up to this point.

The edition size for the Guardian Predator. Your posts state the ES like you actually know what it is, but then it looks like you're just pulling it out of your tush by comparing it with other exclusives.

Sorry man, I didn't get one and I am pissed about that, but I disagree...limited edition should mean just that. Make it limited and don't make them just because you can. True limited products are what separate Sideshow/Hot Toys from Kenner, Hasbro, Mattel.

And I disagree with that. For me the standards of quality and materials used are what seperates Sideshow/Hot Toys from Kenner, Hasbro and Mattel. I just don't see why limited availability need come into the equation.

Exactly my thoughts man. I could have easily bought other hot toys figures when they came out just to sell on later at a profit but i have no interest in it. I'd rather leave them for the people that actually want them. Its a shame there are people that buy these things to rip people off, and there are even people on this board that have clearly done it, but i guess as long as there are people willing to pay these prices and encourage them then it'll carry on. I'm sure they'd still be up for crazy prices anyway but if no one was interested in paying those prices then eventually it'd surely come down.

Like u said, hopefully Hot Toys will make more purely to spite the scalpers. Haha.

I wish it weren't the case that some people would buy something up - that they have little or no personal interest in - as a money making venture against those who really are interested in it, I especially don't understand someone who is also a consumer of these products and part of the hobby doing it to other people. Its just cynical. Anyway I know I'm not making a new and original point there.

Not so sure about that. The fact that this predator is as limited as he appears to be has created a substantial amount of hype over the Predator line overall and will likely see people jumping to purchase the Predators line when that's finally announced in the fear of missing out. And in the end, for every customer throwing a tempertantrum about it, there'll be 3 more to take his place and order one. So by that, not only have they generated more interest by not over-saturating the market with a release, but will be generating more income as well. Think about it. As much as it sucks, it's perfect advertising.

But its likely that others would not let that stop them and thats my fussiness making me one negative case amongst a majority of people whose interest in the Predator line only increases.

Any hopes and wishes I have are kinda based on the fact that the Sarah Connor T-1000 was supposed to also be a SDCC exclusive yet now its readily available on many sites. The only people who complained about that change of situation were people who had dubious intentions.

And here you've proved my point. While you may not be more interested in Lost Predators per say, you've already stated that you'll be ready when the time comes to order the Predators line when that's announced. So good or bad, HT's issuing this figure has made you that much more determined to score the new license of preds.

Wait a minute, I don't remember saying I'll be ordering the Predators line...not recently anyway. In fact at the moment I'm thinking I won't, not because of the Guardian situation so much as because I haven't seen Predators and I make not like it. I have the two Wolf Predator releases and although nice I consider them non-essentials in my collection. In light of the multiples of every T2 character I'm buying I can't afford 'nice but not essential'...which the Predators figures may well be.

But it didn't look like his dreads are blue like I've seen on some of the HT figs. What about the LOST predator? Was he even in the movie? Or is that why they call him the LOST predator. Oh and who taught the Predator to say "____ happens"???

Yeah the lost pred in in the movie, but for like 1 sec. He also appeared in this predator 2 dance video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-M4htgqNak. And as for the ______ happens line i think danny glover said it at some point in the movie but im not sure

If HT requested them not to disclose the amount, you really have no right to fault them over it.

Purely conjecture on your part...

No where has it been stated or implied by HTs or SSCs that HTs requested that their (ssc) allotment amount be held back from the public. It is a known fact that the ES has publicly been announced by HTs for weeks. Using that as the basis for discussion, it would seem highly improbable, although still possible, that HT would instruct or direct SSC not to release their allotment amount to the public. Why in all hell would it even matter to HTs?

Even so, lets follow your "logic", flawed although it might be, and say HT did instruct SSCs not to release their allotment amount. Why use the same corporate script on the fans over and over again? Why not just say, we're not at liberty to release that information at this time. Or the manfacturer doesn't want that info released to the public. Why keep spewing the same crap ad naseum?

I don't understand why that's not an acceptable response. The only reason it's not is because the torch bearers want to find some teemu-ish conspiracy where there is none. It's not common for HT to release edition sizes anyway.

Speaking of ad naseum...no one is out to get SSCs. There is nothing anyone here can say, or for that matter, do to SSC that is gonna somehow ruin their business...although one would think you believe that could happen given your incessant defense of them. They're big boys, I'm sure they can speak for themselves.

Besides, I'm sure there are a few things you don't/wouldn't understand given that your standing on the other side of the fence. Seeing as how you got one, its not a stretch to say your glasses are probably a deeper shade of rose pink than all those fans who missed out.
