I think SS should've gotten 500 of these... That's literally what I understood. And they couldn't have gotten just 200, because it seems like they sold around 300.

I'll hold onto any kind of hope...

It's 500 per fair, for sure. But even so, I can't for the life of me figure out what the main distributor of toys in Asia is... But of course, I'd probably end up paying more than $200 if I took that route. Not over $300, but still. This whole thing is downright confusing. He's not that limited and there's a variety of things that could have changed or happened, yet I don't see any solution other than to wait.

Jeez, I can't believe people are still willing to pay over $650 for this figure that hasn't even come out yet. I totally regret missing out on the pre-order, though I did give it my best attempt. I'm on the wait list and still hopeful that I may get one this way. But the prices right now are insane! I definitely think the prices will cool down by the time the orders come in and definitely once the other releases come out at the Asian Toy Fairs or whatever. I think I'll be able to get one down the line for around $450 (still a lot of money, but I too want this thing bad too) or less, so I'm gonna sit it out and see what happens. If I had to, I guess I would pay twice the amount for a figure I wanted bad, but 3 to 4 times is nuts! Just my personal limits and to each their own...

Actually, looking at the sales and the customer-base that makes up this board, 200 sounds about right. Again, if they were expecting 400 more, the PPO would've lasted longer than 60 seconds.

I went back a few pages and read up a bit...I really hope there's going to be a lot more of these available. I wouldn't mind paying a little over retail, but what some ppl are paying now is just stupid. I didn't know there were that many people in the world with money to burn...especially on collectibles.

As we have already stated, this is a Hot Toys product and as such, Hot Toys ultimately controls the number released. I can not confirm an exact number, as I do not know it. We will, of course, report back to Hot Toys about the incredible amount of interest we received for this release... and *they* will make the final decision

so, nobody knows what SSC got but HT? right...
anyway, i hope this means HT will release more for the fans that missed out.

i could not order one cause on thursday and friday there was a hurracaine on my city , i lost power, internet , phone and water for 3 days ( i still dont have water)
the prices on ebay are crazy , i like the figure but its not a $600-$800 figures , you could buy the 3 new predators for that kind of money
... still hope i can get one

Yeah at those prices I will never own this piece along with P2 Elder Predator. At those prices I'd prefer to buy a PF or Maquette. Kind of bummed. Hope my WL converts.

Ah, well. If my WL doesn't convert, I'll just get two new HT Preds from the upcoming movie... Wonder when we'll hear about those.

I don't think HT will make more of this Pred. I also don't believe that those of us on the wait list will get one either. I could be wrong, but aren't the wait list items the ones that people cancel their order or have a credit card issue? I know these aren't the only two reasons that wait list items get converted.
I really don't see anyone canceling their order on this Pred. I'm still gonna cross my fingers in the hopes that this wait list will convert.

Has HT ever made more of an exclusive item purely based upon customer outcry?

This is where I find blame with SSC. They could, at the very least, tell how many THEY sold. That would definately clear some issues up.

I called and talked to Kathy (one of the nicest CS reps at Sideshow) this morning to try and get basic questions answered and she gave me your standard, vague answers. Mainly, what was the ES that Sideshow got and she would just say, "The allotment amount has not been disclosed to the public. It was a very limited Hot Toys release and we are sorry that you were unable to obtain one."

They'll be CC declines & cancelled orders...just how many, no one knows until they start billing for em. But there will be a few.

I have never seen it happen but they might make an alternate version of this particular Predator. Highly doubtful they will just "make more" of the exact figure due to demand.

As far as the price goes, it will drop considerably; especially once this ships and is in flippers hands, once tempers have cooled, and is released in Asia, but it will drop. It won't go down to stupid levels (I am thinking $400-500). Look at eBay, there are like 9-10 of them on there and it hasn't shipped yet. What the heck do you think is going to happen when a hundred of them are out?

I am starting to feel the same way as alot of other people. I will probably just buy a a few of the new Predators coming out and just wait this one out.

If HT requested them not to disclose the amount, you really have no right to fault them over it.

I don't understand why that's not an acceptable response. The only reason it's not is because the torch bearers want to find some teemu-ish conspiracy where there is none. It's not common for HT to release edition sizes anyway.

i don't see what it would hurt to produce enough to fill all of the orders.
then again, that might be why i'm not running my own toy company.

Oh I hope I'm wrong. I really hope ALL of the wait lists convert. I know that's like pissing in the wind, but it would be cool if they did. I was pretty disapointed that I didn't get one.
I didn't cry or anything, but I wasn't happy.
