So here's an update on my Mark VI missing knee guard situation for those who are interested.

The guy said he is sending me a new body this coming monday. I told him he should just send the knee but since the knee guard isn't supposed to come off he says it will break and wants to send a whole body.

An extra body?.... he could have send and extra left leg only, since it pop's out easy .... with a neck adapter you can build your 6th M. VI, if he doesn't want the body returned. With 5 Mk. VI, you have 10 heads to go around.

Nice! Congrats on the news!

lil info on IV versus VI?

i've been out of the loop for awhile. i'm going back thru this, the IV thread and the other "best IM" threads but reading is taking forever. gonna order one of these soon so help a bro make a decision. what're some of the pros/cons of these 2?

i've read...
IV is slimmer (i'd probably like that)
flaps & pops outs are a pain to stay in

love the 2 type display of VI
chest light does not display correctly?

any other factors that are good to know? thanks!!

I too would like to hear from folks who got both 4 and 6.

I am still unsure.

Yeah me too. Thats why I created the MK IV or VI thread. It was going well until it was deleted. Come on guys help us please.

As far as I know it is the exact same body. The difference lies in the chest and the head and, obviously, the paint scheme. Two heads: Stark helmet and light up helmet. Two masks: interchangeable between the two heads. (damaged and non-damaged).

As for the chest: The chest piece rides higher in M6 and covers up the clavicle area that is revealed in M4.
Some said that the under body was raised in the M6 to go with the higher window. I don't believe that it is. If HT had raised the reactor, it means raising the light feature and changing the pins and raising them inside the chest that hold the LED. I think HT just changed the inside frame of the reactor to show the triangle, which is an easier fix. This results in the off center and lower triangle we see on the pictures.
I could be wrong but I am waiting for someone who has both to take a picture of the under chest at the same level for comparison.
The picture needs to have both m4 and m6 with their revealed chest and the waist at the same level to see if they did raise the reactor or not.

One suggestion I made before...
Consider which chest arc reactor you prefer. Circular or triangular.
There's a very good chance we may never see another Iron Man in the red/gold armor AND a circular chest reactor. However, it is more than likely the next iterations of Iron Man in the upcoming movies (The Avengers, IM3, etc.) will continue with the triangular chest reactor. I'm not even going to bother wondering about the Bleeding Edge armor at this point.

A few notes to consider...
Mk.IV has the best head sculpt of RDJ of any piece released thus far.

Mk.VI has the battle damaged pieces.

The Mk.IV is NOT slimmer than the Mk.VI, in fact, they use the same body mold. It was suggested that the silver colors on the biceps and knees of the Mk.VI "fools" the eyes into thinking it's wider.

The flaps/spoilers on his back will close (sit closer to the body) with a "bending" modification.

The leg flap's opening mechanism is poorly designed and can easily crack/snap off if not opened carefully. This applies to both (remember, they use the same mold).

Whichever you choose, you can't go wrong with either piece.

It's not the silver on the arms and legs, it's the fact that there's less color variation on the arms and legs, the legs in particular, which make them look larger.

thanks folks for the info! tho i gotta say according to these pics 4 looks slimmer than 6 at least in the torso...

This Mark VI is a nice looking figure, but to me this:

Looks so much more like Ironman than this:

I even remember thinking at the end of Ironman 2: "I don't like this new suit."

just think slimmer looks better to me. thing that really irks me is i had IV preordered but canceled without doing my research, in favor of getting VI. grr. my screwup.
Don't suppose anyone still has IV available for sale??
