I think I've asked this before, but has anyone tried car wax on these guys? Regular old carnauba or synthetic? I've still got most of a Zaino kit that would either light this guy up (deep deep shine) or potentially ruin the paint. So I thought I'd ask (again?) before jumping in.

Why don't you try it on some spare part? You don't have to instantly put it on the whole figure to test it.

I used floor wax on my SSC storm troopers...glossed them up alot and no damage to the paint. the only problem with that is you have to dip the parts and the electronics on the Mark VI wont like that very much

future floor wax should work, its just a layer of acrylic. you shouldn't need to dip the parts in either since it self levels, just brush a layer on quickly and let it dry. it does the rest itself.

i use it on everything from fixing loose ball joints, to tinting (add food coloring or water based ink to it and it becomes a layer of translucent color of your choice which is great for tinting windows etc) to a sealer on painted models. its also washable with a little windex (ammonia) so you can reverse it if you don't like it.

it will, but only if you keep playing with it immediate after brushing on a coat of it. it dries so quickly that if you touch it while it sits you risk smudging or leaving marks.

brush a coat quickly and don't keep touching or touching up until it dries. no double brushing until then or you will leave brush marks.
dipping works completely fine mind you, but you run the risk of getting too thick a coat or portions that get build up or drip marks.

saw this in my local comic store. thought was cool. big out of proportion but cool

That is awesome. I've been wanting to take my life size mk3 bust to Randy's and snap some photos of it. The areas a little shady and I don't feel like getting robbed. lol

If you decide to go make sure you're wearing a helmet, a plated vest, bring a dog, pack a gun, and move quickly.

If you go, we should all go and meet up. There is power in numbers. I dont think 3-5 people will get robbed. lol Just don't wear any sport jersey's. haha

So do all Mark VI have a loose left knee?

i have had 2 IM2 versions and also have the avengers release.
my second VI and the avengers version all have loose knees. which is because the screw pegs inside the leg have broken or become loose in some way.
my first MK VI is still as tight as it ever was.

if you can pick up the figure and shake the leg and hear it rattle, its a broken screw peg causing your troubles.
