I like this one better than mark IV. the eyes is thinner and look more menacing

It may not be a year old, but it is a reused sculpt.

The mere fact that it wasn't revealed was a strong indicator that they were taking the easiest route. When you are proud of your work, you want to show it off.

I'm not knocking the figure as a whole, but that aspect of it is unfortunate.

I'm very glad they used the Mark IV's sculpt to avoid delays and childish _____ing. Besides, most collectors will be displaying this with the facemask on.

i'm still glad i chose this than the mark4 ... imo the breastplate of mark4 is cartoonish but this fig is awesome can't wait to get mine....

That looks RESCULPTED to me. Look at the difference in the bags under the eyes. The purse of the lips. Its definately a retooled facial sculpt.

I was looking on the Hot Toys (japan) site and it said the following that confused me.

They had all the products announced and a release date such as Thor (June/July), Spider-man (June), Mark V (October) etc..

Then I saw Mark VI (Feb).... then I saw... Mark VI (May)..

I don't even think Hot Toys knew what was happening with this figure. LOL

If that is the same sculpt just shoved into the helmet, it looks spectacular. The perspective definitely helped the overall without a doubt. This one IMHO is far superior than the Mark IV if people are going one and done but I can't wait to display it next to the Mark IV in my little hall of armors.

Yeah, my plan is to hopefully use the Mark VI masked RDJ head on the Mark IV and have the lit up BD head on the Mark VI.

Very very excited, should have them set up in about a week.

Just got confirmation that my HK seller has his figures in stock and he is sending it via EMS on Tue, 2/8, so with any luck I should have it in NYC by Friday, 2/11 (Monday, 2/14 at the latest).

The RDJ sculpt in the helmet looks really good. Fine with it recycled. The depth on the sculpt is outstanding.

Yeah, its the same sculpt but it looks awesome. The figure itself just looks sick and I can't wait to get it. The BD parts just look great and it makes me hope both mine arrive at the same time so I can have them together.

If you followed this thread (or any other thread as a matter of fact) we are an impatient bunch of Freaks and can't get our hands on new toys fast enough and anything we can we will complain about so more specific to this I have only heard ppl saying "release it, release it, even if reusing the IV sculpt" and that's exactly what they did. Not ones have I read here from anyone "take your time HT cause I must have a brand new sculpt" oh add to the impatient bunch also forgetful bunch of freaks

So if it is a reused sculpt, why weren't any photos of it released to this point? Especially after photos of the sculpt were released in advance of the Mark IV. No extra time was spent developing it or getting approval from Downey or his reps (one of the main reasons we thought were holding up release).

Considering there has been alot of whining about price hikes, I'm truly surprised that I seem to be the only one with a problem with this.

Again, it's a small complaint, as the figure looks great, but still...

Would have been nice to know for sure that they would do this but for me personally I will never use this version of his helm. So I don't care at all.

I wonder how many of the production run are out now and how many out later?
