I will pick IV over VI, the different color scheme and chest plate make IV looks cooler, also IV got better red and finishing than VI. And the BD chest plate dont fit well. Hope 2nd batch will get better. :wave

Great photos, OMG. Appreciate you gathering them all up for a line-up. Hey OMG when you said that the Mark IV has better red finishing that VI, what do you mean exactly? It looks similar to me. :)

also i thought they fixed the paint issue above the chest where it is supposed to be gold?

They did, but the way Hot Toys designed the shoulders and chestplate on the MVI covers up most of the gold bits and exposed black parts on the clavicle area. It's probably my biggest issue with the Mark VI figure, but it's fairly small beans so whatever.

You can see the difference clearly in OMG's pic here:

Great photos.

But it seems to me that the poses for Iron Man is very feminine.

Especially on the very last photo, it looks like War Machine is the pimp standing in the middle and the Mk. VI and Mk. IV are the 2 hoes standing on each side.

I've been dancing with the idea of getting the Mk IV for quite awhile now, but those pics just helped me completely forget about it and am so excited to get the MK VI:rock

I like both of them. Although you're also talking to someone who has a bunch of storm troopers who are basically the same with different paint jobs and head sculpts. :rotfl

I got my T-800 from him last year without any problems. :dunno Did you run into any problems with him?

he lied to me about stock and also kept delaying sending my items out.
i always had to contact him twice before i got a response about something and then after about a month of waiting around and listening to his lies i asked for a refund which took him about two weeks to do and would not respond to my messages. when he did the refund he made me pay the pay pal fees as though he was paying for good from me...
terrible experience
i also bought a TT body from him that had one leg shorter than the other...
:slap

anyway, other people seem to have no problems with him but i will not be giving him my business again

absolutely nothing wrong with that, and as a recovering "completist" myself, I totally understand:D

You said it before I could :lol

I have to agree with Chigg...very similar to not warrant owning both....although I did purchase the VI :lol

Wait....:slap

Actually, if I had to pick one....with the clean look...who would I pick?

Not that VI isn't awesome....it is!

But I would have to pick IV as the one IM figure to own if one doesn't care about having BD :lecture

Actually, they're so similar, it just comes down if you prefer circle or triangle shapes :lol

Therefore mine from AE will be going on the Evilbay :horror

Wait...that's my AE VI! :lol

I was going to order him this week and e-mailed them to keep one for me if someone cancels or if they get more. I think I'm just going to tell them to go ahead and go to the next name on the list though.

I knew all along how similar they were minus the colors and different accessories but seeing them together is just :horror

Overall the VI looks like a prototype and I'm interested in picking up a triangle version down the line in IM3 or Avenger's when it's more polished like the IV seems to me.

Like you said jye, still EXCELLENT though!

Ideally he'll wear a Hulkbuster armor with the VI in Avenger's. Then only one new triangle armor in IM3. That way I only have to buy 2 new IM figures over the course of 3 years! :lol :cuckoo: I know.

MK IV red is rich, thick with super glossy finish, MK VI on the other hand is a bit lighter, a bit thinner and not so glossy as the MK IV. :panic: or may be just mine. :rotfl

It's cool how much a different chest and a little bit of paint variation can make two almost identical things look different.
