Thanks for posting the video. He looks good. :rock

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

Those videos are taken at Toy Hunters, right? I am amazed at how busy that store is every time these videos are taken. It's like TRU in NYC.

All the people you can see are actually outside the store. Toy Hunters itself is tiny, really tiny...no way could it hold that many people :lol

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

I don´t even care anymore. Everyone who will collect all the Avengers are very happy now.

All the hate and trolling is the same from every release... People that usually can´t afford the figures trying to justify - probably for themselves - that they won´t get the figure cause it "sucks", and not cause they just can´t...

Hoping for the Captain America next...

:lecture :exactly: :goodpost:

Amazing!

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

It had me at Hello ! I preordered yesterday as soon as Sideshow revealed it . I think he looks bad ass and he could steal the movie because aside from Black Widow -he's a dude among the ranks of Iron Man, Hulk and Cap so he's just gotta try harder.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

anybody have an idea where Hot Toys Collector is getting this background for his pics?

I tried to email him, but he said "I don't have the background saved"???

it would look bad ass for a backdrop to my figs

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

I would love to have those backgrounds for pictures and sigs and wallpapers and backdrops and and and...just give them to me HTC!

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

A nice big backdrop like the ones HTC uses would look very cool on the shelf behind your Avengers figures. I was so happy that my HT Big Chap came with that nice big backdrop, it just adds so much to the displayed figure. Hopefully, at this price, HT will at least add in something similar with the Avengers figures.

That makes sense. I have always wondered. :slap

Already ordered!

As to my opinion on the 'bare-joints' issue...

I think that HT, and any other company that might use the technique, is caught in a difficult position.

On one side, using the rubber 'suit' hiding the elbow joints will give the figure a more human look. We can all see how good the ROCKY/RAMBO figures look with the body suit. But it also means that the limb inside would need to be slightly thinner to accommodate the extra thickness of that outer layer, so as to not look freaky thick.

On the other side, the exposed-joint (or more 'traditional' action figure) look is easier to get correct proportionally as a one off casting than having to plan for an inner and outer thickness together, but it is not the whole answer.

Finally...How contracted do you make the biceps? For the HE figure, (I wonder if the SUPERMAN figure is the same..? I have not looked under the costume on ours) HT have adopted the 'tensed but not fully flexed' position. this affords them a decent arm-straight pose, but is bunched enough to give a believable arm-bent pose too.

How deeply bent do you want an elbow joint? To have one that would pivot round enough (thanks to our human flexibility) and also bend deeply enough to accommodate this...well, the finished product would look really off if cast in a solid plastic like that of which the HE figure is going to be made.

I think that HT have done very well with this. I am in.
