Lol i love how fast debates start on this site lol. The discussion of whether a DX bane could happen, has blown up into how iconic the films/characters are.

While we're on the subject. I don't think we will see a DX bane, just like how we have only seen 1 two face and 1 scarecrow, hell even ra's was the main Antagonist in begins and we still haven't seen a figure.

What tommy said earlier i fully agree with, when you think Batman you think joker, he's going to sell no matter what because lets face it everyone knows him. Look at TDK how many people quoted his lines or said things like him, i have only seen a few of those for bane, Take why so serious for example i saw that everywhere on the net.

If this is the only bane, i wouldn't put it past a company to make a stock exchange outfit. Take a look at magic cube or asmus they have done plenty of outfits that have featured in the films but never made it as a figure.

I really think it would be a wash. Was the original argument who is more iconic? If it is then it would be hard to prove who is right really. It's a matter of opinion. I would say the Joker is more iconic than either of them. That's more of a no brainer though.
I know my 11 year old who has seen Returns likes Bane way more than The Penguin (BR). Not that it matters as far as being an Icon goes


Like ECZ says above Spidey would have been a DX already if being a DX is based on ICON status.

My argument wasn't even that Bane was more iconic, it was that he is just as iconic, and just as deserving of the DX treatment, as Devito's Penguin.

I gotcha, yea I agree with you he is just as deserving.

Another thing is how well the DX treatment works for characters. Now that I think about it more Spidey really isn't even a great choice for DX. PERS is a factor it seams with a figure being a DX right? Then Spidey wouldn't have PERS unless on a maskless head.
PERS on Bane is a no brainer!

I myself am 24. I grew up reading spiderman and batman comics. Watched the OT of star wars. Hate the PT. Hate Nickolson's Joker, love pfeifer's catwoman.

Bane is cool enough for a DX.

If it was a no brainer, don't you think the #1 company the make 1/6 figures in the world would have made this a DX? Especially since its the popular opinion that HT milks Iron Man and Batman for as much profit as possible?

1. You're reading too much into his comment. I don't think his comment is intended as an affront specifically against your age but something else.
2. What goes in your mind is not true unless backed with solid evidence, in which case, we have none (yet).

That's debatable, but I'd be willing to take that chance. There's a chance that it could wind up like Indy or the DX 12 Batman, but there's also a chance that it could wind up being up there with the DX 09 Batman, the DX 08 Joker, Sparrow, Skywalker, and the T-800 as being a figure that has good PERS, there's a 50/50 chance, but I like those odds, and, if it worked, it would work really well, as Bane is a character who would actually benefit from the eye movement (regardless of brow position, the eyes themselves CAN make a difference). Plus, when you look at figures like Elvis' in comparison to the HT, there's really no excuse. This guy makes something waaay more accurate with scraps than HT makes with their boundless resources? There's something wrong with that picture.

Not to be harsh but the only possibilities here are:

A: you're referring to the fact my parent's are that age, hence I must be too young to understand ****.

or B: You're referring to me stating my parent's know who Hardy's Bane is, which would explain.. really nothing.

So please enlighten me what my parent's being 40/50 years old have to do with "explaining everything" besides those points? Because there's little room for interpretation in the sentence you placed.

I'm of the opinion Bane doesn't deserve to be a DX. While an awesome performance and portrayal of IMO a great character I don't believe Bane, in any form, deserves DX.

My understanding is DX is meant for the all time greats actors/musicians/characters. Sparrow, Batman(men), Joker(s), (not sure why Supes didn't get it, even though I hate Supes) Bruce Lee, Terminator, Jacko... all deserving IMHO. Bane not so much...

But PO'd anyways! I'll buy any and all HT Batman villains.
