I was fleeced for 62 euro by Fedex on top of the full DX10 plus shipping from Sideshow. It killed any joy for the figure I might have had.

Happened me with the DX12.

Yes I got that to look foward too with the DX13. I orderd from Sideshow, so it means sting in the tail time.

Question for fellow collectors in the UK, if I order this dude from Sideshow will be the extra charges be a *****? just played around on a calculator thingy online and it reckons the extra charge from importing will only be around £6.80... that sound right?

I'm new here. Just want to know what these 'extra charges' are? Is it just customs tax or is this something else on top of that? Just seen it mentioned here a few times lately and not sure what people were talking about. Some kind of handling fee. I'm from Australia and want to order this from Sideshow along with batman but don't want to get any unexpected charges.

I think Sideshow use Fedex for outside America deliveries, upside of this you get you figure superfast, downside you pay a shed load of money because its like Fedex priority or something, Also weight is an issue the heavier the parcel the more $$$$.
My tip is find a good seller on ebay in china / Hong Kong who can do free shipping, it might be on a container ship for 2-3 weeks but hey half the fun is waiting for the fig to arrive.

I think if you import stuff to Australia it's tax free, so you are good there.

I had to pay import/handling charges of £42. Not too bad.

Hi mate, I'm also from Australia and have just received my DX12 from Sideshow today and I can tell you I paid $25 USD in shipping. Very reasonable and I received it in about 7 days.

And unless you bring an item worth over $1k into the country you don't have to worry about any taxes or customs fees.

The Fedex fees don't bother me, as I've never bought something from SS in one payment, so it's spread out a bit. Still waiting on my bill for Avengers Cap.

Bane just arrived. He looks a lot better inhand than I expected. The head is very good, as is the tailoring. Just needs to be seriously weathered and ****ed up.

It will be a while before I can post pics guys, out for the night and flying to London in morning. It will be tomorrow night or fri.


I am completely surprised by this figure though, I wasn't even gonna pick it up. I was looking at the headsculpt and comparing it to the new capt America head, dare I say it, but maybe HT have improved the soft sculpt issue, this looks great. Coat is a little vinyl looking, but still quite nice.
The vest and strap work is very good, similar to the recent avengers tailoring, which I think is some of HTs best to date.

If this guy gets to me via FEDEX - and at this point so far, every single figure has come to me here in Warwick UK via FEDEX - the charges applied to get him here will be in the region of £30+
