The gauntlet on his right hand already comes with the figure

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

After seeing the film, I'm definitely leaning towards this figure. I would definitely want a Bane, it's a question if I can settle for this one.

I'm not going to bother preordering though, I doubt I won't be able to find this for retail when he's finally released.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

As much as I want and love the Joker 2.0, I'm going to have to settle for Bane.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

i'd like to see someone put the broken batman mask on a hot toys bruce wayne head and see how he looks like!!!

then maybe mold it and make a full mask!
could be awesome...

Doub that will work too well, Bale's sculpt has hair which is meant to get squashed when he wears the cowl.

Meh, I don't feel Ledger felt more like Joker than Hardy felt like Bane. I did not see Hardy in this role at all, only Bane. No need to be offended, or go all offensive on me, oh and there's no difference between personal taste and a professional opinion. Professionals have personal tastes too you know?

Ledger did great, Hardy did great. I think Joker is a more colorful character, therefor easier to play. I know what I'm talking about, I take acting lessons myself, but it still is my personal taste.

Also, being a "method actor" doesn't make you good persé. It's like saying if you're painting, you use one art style, it does not make you better than someone else with his own style. You're only good in acting if you make it your own, no matter what "style" you use.

Fair enough. But what's this with you saying there's no difference between personal taste and professional opinion? Of course they're different. Personal taste is strictly subjective whereas professional opinion is given with a number of different facets of knowledge relating to the subject matter from which the opinion is formed and then only then do they draw their subjectivity. How could you not know this? Or are you saying you can ask anyone's opinion about a medical problem you're having because personal and professional opinion is the same in your book and therefore you don't have to consult a doctor?

Are you an established actor? Have I seen you in a movie or play before? How can you say Joker is easier to play? Easier to play suggests anyone can play it and the resulting piece will always be the same. We know that's not true, don't we? What sort of acting lesson are you taking and where? Because I want to avoid that shool.

You're right in a sense because the result will always fall under public's scrutiny. But method acting definitely trumps over theatrical acting because a method actor can hold the same character throughout the movie whereas a theatrical person runs the risk of bringing his/her character all over the place and thus lost the believability if he/she is not good at it

Anyway, let's cut this short and stay on topic shall we?

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

One a side note, anyone felt this way?
The whole Scarecrow part to me felt like the role was meant for Ledger as the Joker, dunno if that's just me though. In the cartoons Joker was always the head of trial in such scenarios.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

So, how about that Hot Toys Bane figure? Quite dandy to me...

:lol Yeah sorry for derailing there.

Bane looks good, but I'll be smart for ones an not immediatly jump on it, I'll wait for the inevitable V2, with hopefully more expressing eyes.

Loved the angry look he has in some scenes, hoping for something like that.

I think it's fair to say nothing in this movie was "meant" for The Joker. Ledger had already signed on to do another movie, and shortly after his death Nolan stated that The Joker was to play a much bigger role in the third film and continue as the main villain. I'm sure what we ended up seeing in this movie is nothing of what they had in mind when Ledger was still alive.

Yes let's cut it short, no need to be offensive. I'm naming my opinion, and you just try to jump at me.
And yes, I've played parts before. And did well enough. And no you haven't seen me, would it matter? If I was a nobody, would that immediatly mean my opinion is worth naught? Short-sighted fool.

Easier to play doesn't mean anyone can play it. Don't be an *****. Realistic painting is technically harder than modern painting, does that means anyone can paint in modern styles? I'm just saying that with the Joker, the possibilities are practically endless, whereas with Bane, you're more confined.

I've had enough of you. If you can't accept the fact others have opinions too, then well, there's not even a topic anyway. And medical opinions are not to be compared with theatrical prowess. Art is NOT based on facts. Science is.

Not going to reply to you further. Art is art. Opinions only apply, no facts about it. Hope you learned something.

If you can't handle a bit of criticism, that's your problem. As far as opinion goes, I'm also voicing mine and you start calling me names. Any comic book character has no limitation for interpretation. You're the one imposing said limitations. The only limit is perhaps the director's vision.

Look, I'm only giving my opinion and criticizing you, the only negative I said about you is the school you attend to get your acting lesson. All I expect you to do is give me a reasoned argument to stand your ground but so far I've received none but subjective opinion.

Thanks for calling me an *****.

@eczamurai I do actually.

Agree with what you stated, I'm just saying the part to me felt more like something for the Joker. But yes you're right, I bet the original play was different. Though I for one am glad Joker is not back as the main villain.
Scarecrow just doesn't seem to fit as the Judge.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

What the hell are we talking about? I've been off for days so you guys wouldnt ruin anything for me. :lol

Movie was awesome. LOVE IT. Got to see the camo Tumbler in person too. :D

Meh, you're stating my school sucks based on my opinion. That makes you an *****. Don't make assumptions about me. Let's drop this.

Thanks for the honest opinion. Is it wrong of me to think that you received your understanding on the matter from some form of schooling? Just goes to show what I said earlier about the difference between personal and professional opinion, you have just proven me right. Cheers for that. Next time, don't try and debate an academic, for your own sake.

Went with him. It was great!! Not only that but actually seeing the film really made me realize how inaccurate HT's Bane's coat actually is. :monkey2 :lol

@eczamurai It has everything to do with the matter because I happen to be a holder of masters degree in film production. But that doesn't matter to you because you're just being subjective.
