absolutely nothing to do with the actor all out of Hardy's control. 1) costume, 2)cried like a b____, 3)died like a bigger b____, 4) second battle with Batman

The fact that Bane cried despite being so cold and calculated and damn right evil, showed that there was still a human behind the mask.

Didn't mind how he died, or that he cried. I mind what jdeezy refers to below:

:exactly:

For the whole movie you are meant to see him as the evil mastermind, but at the end he just seems like a henchmen that Talia took advantage of.

I think he really believed in the mission of the LOS, but the character's power did feel deflated. I think if the true identity of Miranda was a real surprise (wasn't for me) that revelation would have distracted from all that. I mean, I think that was the intent.

As I said before, I need to see it again with full knowledge of where it's going. Maybe he was both a hired "gun" as well as a hired mastermind...

I think everything in regards to Talia was stupid and I would good so far as to say she was the strongest flaw to the movie. Her entire character, both as a love interest via Miranda and then as an antagonist via Talia, should have just been removed entirely and all that would have done would have been shave off a few unneeded scenes and make Bane not seem so lame in the end. Really all this build up and he ends up being portrayed as a puppet more or less. He even had that scene where he killed that corrupt rich guy, whose only purpose for the thirty minutes of the film he was in was to demonstrate how no one can control Bane, something that doesn't seem to actually be the case. That and just her betrayal was so pointless. Oh I stabbed you (has no lasting effect for some odd reason) and then I drive this truck and then...die. Was this supposed to have a mental impact on Bruce? Obviously no _____ were given since he immediately falls for Catwoman. Oh was her flooding the place supposed to actually be a setback? Nah Bruce just does the fake suicide run immediately after so that Nolan could create some incredibly forced drama. Yep well that sure was a memorable plot twist.

Did anyone else wait the entire movie for a Bane surfing scene? I was so sure there was going to be one :(

Although I definitely don't agree with all of your post, the part I left in the spoiler tags above is pretty spot on in therms of the problem I'm having with the film.

Where's intothevoid? I need him to tell me why I'm wrong. :lol

I waited through the credits...

... to see JGL rocking the repainted bat-suit in blue and black with only an eye-covering mask ala Nightwing. Alas, Marvel must have the end-credit scenes patented and copyrighted.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

I'm not sure if posting stuff about the film in a thread like this is a good idea, but whatever.

Bane wasn't a puppet, he was the instigator. He even says "I am the league of shadows!" Talia may have been a big part of the plan, but I feel Bane is the one who really wanted to pull it off. He had so much respect for Ras and the league's beliefs/ideas as you could probably tell in the film.

Bane needed someone to infiltrate Wayne enterprises, by using Wayne's heart Talia was able to do so. To me, Bane WAS the mastermind behind it all. Talia was the follower, despite the last scene. I think people assume that since Talia was Ras' daughter she is automatically the leader. Who knows, to me it sounded like Bane stepped forward and took control of the LOS after Ras died, not Talia. I think Bane had the respect to take orders from her, just because of the respect he had for her father.
