You could argue that the cost of the likeness lays on the BD version alone. While the others cost is for the sound. I still think it's crap. lol

$295 is a little bit greedy. Sound features, a helmet and a little piece of plastic with a reflective sticker, to recreate the scrap metal mirror, would've been nice at, say, $300.

I probably could have lived without the sound if it had come with an optional head and face plates.

Those of you who have their Robocop's, can the head pop off easily?

I'm not jumping at the chance to give it a try but I THINK it's on a double ended ball joint, one end connected to the head the other end connected to the body. I accidentally popped out one of the arms last night showing my girlfriend the articulation so I can't imagine the head being too difficult to remove.

I'm sure I posted these earlier, but yep, it can be done. As AMD said, a ball at the top of the neck post and at the top of the torso.

Yeah as YankeesFanboy said, gorgeous. Best lighting I've seen for this piece. It's a total dust magnet though isn't :)

That lighting is highly modified, the figure won't look anything like that unless you are able to reproduce it. Also, not noticing any unusual dust settlement..still spik and span just sitting out in the open there.

How do you guys feel about the sound feature? It's neat and all but if it could have saved me $20 from the over all price I would have opted out of it.

Tested it to see it worked, then took the batteries out the control & out of Robo, will probably not test it again, unless I'm selling the fig. Its kind of cool they put this feature in but you can get a cheap £10 action figure with sound effects.
I'm paying for the high detail, the official licence and because its a limited edition, I think. :dunno

I know many don't, but I love the sound gimmick! Only problem is that "Drop it!" wasn't included, nor was the RoboCop version of "Dead or alive, you're coming with me." I also wish BD Robo would come with it.

I think HT was adamant that this was going to be $300, especially as an entry in the "Diecast Series." If that's the case, you may as well include a sound feature.

I meant on the photos, the flecks rather give away the illusion of scale they otherwise create very well.

And yes, that's what I meant about the lighting, that and the chosen poses and angles are the best the retail version has looked yet imho :)

Ahhh, yeah I see what you mean, there is a bit of dust on there huh. I know what you meant with the lighting, I was just kinda feeling like reminding those who don't have him yet..meaning "don't get your hopes up". It's false advertising as was OMG's and a few other bloggers pics which peeved me off a little bit.

Still, even with the color issue the figure is awesome in hand.

However, I'd only call that false advertising in the case of HT's prototype images which are still up even though they don't represent the finished piece. That I think is cheating :)
Not even close to 3zeros recent robocop 2014 release
Show an accurate Joel Kinnamon head sculpt, open preorders, then change the head sculpt discretely on facebook(product website still has old head sculpt up)
It's basically saying they had the likeness rights, secured orders, then letting the people know they didn't actually have the rights

As if that figure wasn't a tough enough sell as it is :lol
