"Thank you for many fans’ support when we introduced our latest RoboCop collectibles. We heard that you guys would love to see Alex Murphy as the unhelmeted RoboCop, so we got a good news for you all! Our Production Director & Chief Painter J.C. Hong has just shared a photo of the work already in progress for the head sculpt on his blog (https://tiger231.blog.me/80191133866), so please stay tuned to see how it will look like in another version of RoboCop soon!"

I think this is great. Personally I like the clean version of RoboCop, so not including a Murphy headsculpt doesn't bug me at all. If they do a phenomenal job with the second (I'm guessing a really battle-damaged version like DX13 or the limited edition Iron Man), then I may pick it up.

And what's with the hate for DX10/13? They're completely different versions of the same character and there's no way they could've been done as one set, the way Bespin Luke was. Totally don't understand some peoples' reactions to those releases. The alternative is to have nothing at all or just one of the two releases. I'm glad HT did both.

Man - I knew it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl :lol :rotfl :yess:

Of course it was gonna happen.. :lol

This should stop the speculations about Peter Weller's likeness rights. Like I said, we don't know what happens behind HT's closed doors.

Everyone should learn by now that unless there's an official statement, speculations about actors' likenesses are just... speculations. There's always something we don't know. Funny that there are some who said "Neither HT nor EB own the rights to Weller's likeness" with conviction but can't give a reliable statement to back it up.
:lol Internet gospel knows no bounds. :lecture

Hopefully this upcoming 'Murphy' face version loses the sound chip, & comes with a better looking display base - plus some great extras on top, then I'll be down. :rock

another version coming for this when the first version's preorder just started :slap
for the fans that can't afford all versions, way to go HT.

If they really heard us, for the price, they should have just removed the sound and diecast and throw in the head sculpt instead. I don't see why this can't be done as the figure is still due in several months!

I just love the sentiment of spiteful entitlement in here (& notably the reveal head thread). :lol

A bit of forethought goes a long way.. :)

I can understand the idea of HT economizing by making a "one size fits all" release - but that would hardly be an accurate figure in the end.

Folks want movie accurate figures, but also want economy.

Like folks have said in the other thread - it's GOOD they're doing separate figures. Each version can have it's own appropriate attention to detail etc, resulting in a far better outcome.

Too much Robocop data to absorb, going for a melt down.
I was not expecting this, so after seeing the Robo figure, then ED, then a seated version, then work on an unhelmeted version.
I'd like to say ill get em all. I think I'll pass on the standard, in favor of the chair version, ED, then hopefully the Murphy reveal will be a a full battle damaged version.
We might even get a bubble gum blowing Lewis.

I would actually rather a Clarence Boddicker figure than one of Murphy.
