I can understand the idea of HT economizing by making a "one size fits all" release - but that would hardly be an accurate figure in the end.

Folks want movie accurate figures, but also want economy.

Like folks have said in the other thread - it's GOOD they're doing separate figures. Each version can have it's own appropriate attention to detail etc, resulting in a far better outcome.

I like your attitude about it Vintij. Its been clear since the other day's reveals that you wanted a Murphy headsculpt Robocop. Now HT have announced they'll be providing that you are content while having an appreciation of what they're enabling for the more obsessive fan - a multitude of looks that are complete and not half-assed.

So what are your purchasing plans for Robocop overall?

Mate - in a perfect world, I'd love HT to do an all in one figure but as mentioned, logistically it would result in a compromise somewhere - plus the price skyrocketing in the process would be a killer, so what they've done makes good sense. I think folks need to understand that firstly before getting their nerd rage groove on.

Me - I'm really hoping this 2.0 is a great set, & if so - I'll get that. I'm a huge fan of the original film, so it's bittersweet that the newly announced 'phase1' figure has the gimmicks & that ugly display base. If it didn't.. I'd actually consider getting both versions at some point.

For now though.. just sitting back & waiting for more news.

I'm sorry but ht's has just nailed the look and everything perfectly, even though enterbay will no doubt have a weller hs with theirs.
Not to mention there is no 1/4 ed-209 to go with him and honestly i love ed-209 even more than robo.

There really haven't been major QC issues with the Enterbay 1/4th line.

Umm 1/4 rambo has arms that fall off, my enterbay batman had that one leg longer issue,
i've heard some people having numerous issues with the bd t800 as well.
Their robo is supposed to have a rc leg holster function, motorized neck joint, that just screams qc problems to me.
Like i said i'll just wait and see what happens.

Really? Where'd you hear this? I think the worse that EB BD T800 has is the Endo Eye that sometimes lights up automatically. I'm a regular lurker/poster on the EB BD T800 thread and always it's breathe of fresh air to visit -- for everyone's happy with how it turned out, regardless if the accessories included were not much thought of by EB.

Also, the way I understand it CAIN MKII wasn't crossing out the possibility of buying an HT Robo. He said he'll just wait for what other versions HT would be then he'd choose from there. And while the HT Robo's "perfect", why seem to count EB's version off this soon? Who's to say that HT Robo once it started shipping won't have recalls for non-working speakers, Leg holster falling off, etc? Everything's possible, at this time the only thing HT's ahead of compared to EB is that they have already released their protos. QS002's proto seemed perfect, but I think even this early there are more people who have already experienced QC issues with it than EB BD T800, from missing parts to electroplating errors, collar pistons sitting the wrong way, etc.

I have more HTs than EBs, but sometimes I feel the that the hate towards EB is no longer objective to their QC concerns, but their subjective favor for HT.

Not trying to diss on you for being an HT fanboy just my 2 cents.

First I'm myself more a fan of ED209 than robocop and I don't care if they're not in scale. I want a screen accurate replica.
I agree with you, HT nailed robocop perfectly but their commercial politic sux and I won't be milk like a brainless fan HT think we are.
For now I will only keep my ED PO.

If I buy their Robocop, it will be my very first figure from this brand. So far I've only bought HT figures and was always very impress by their perfection.

Yes i was refering to the eye issue of bd t800, someone mention their bd left arm was really loose.

You're right i didn't outright ask him why, it was meant to be implied.

I'm excited about another HT Robo. I hope they make 1000! That doesn't mean I'm going to buy all the versions, but after years of no decent Robo merch, I'm super excited that they want to do this many versions. I'll buy the ones I like and skip the ones I don't. I don't have OCD so my collection won't feel incomplete because I don't own all the versions. Plus just because I don't own a different, version, doesn't mean I can't enjoy the pics of it online.
