No, just the ones that return an item that there was nothing wrong with on the chance that something may go wrong.

Avoiding the inevitable. I don't like "gambling".

Lol, gambling. At least by playing craps I have a ****ing chance.

Got Light Armour Thor? Probably best to return it before the paint starts peeling off the arms, and don't ever buy a plastic Iron Man figure in case it gets pink panties.

I gotta say, I usually respect people's opinions, even the ones that differ from mine, but I just can't get down with the "I don't care if it rots, I'd rather have owned it in it's prime than not have owned it at all" or "if I don't have this detoriating piece, I still won't be happy because I don't own a 1/6 ED in my collection" sentiments. It's crazy talk to me.

ED's dome is basically his face, his portrait. This problem with the detoriation ain't a little thing. Say this was a regular figure, lets say James Bond. Who in their right mind would STILL purchase a James Bond figure that was known for a warped, detoriating head that got worse before your very eyes? Is owning such an eye sore worth it just to say from the neck down it's the best version of the character that's out there? Huh? Would you guys knowingly buy a faulty blu-ray player or a PS4 that was known for not working properly and shrug it off as "well, atleast I enjoyed it while it lasted"? Makes no sense to me.

I can see the collectors that bought it, are **** out of luck and have to make the best of what they can (if I bought it and was stuck with it, I'd try anything). But those that are buying knowing full well and have this casual, insouciant attitude like "eh, whatever, damaged head, don't care"? It's definitely baffling. That's half the problem right there. Why should Hot Toys care about QC if there are going to be people that buy them regardless?

All valid points, but i ask again: Where is the problem when you can fix it? With an EASY fix where no pro-modeller is needed?

There are readily available solid, plastic domes that perfectly match the look of the sculpted dome, prior to the rubber detoriation and look as good as new, if not better than the original intended look of the product?

Yes, that is what you want and we all want. But i doubt HT will do that (unfortunately). If we don't get it we have to work with the options or return it.
And i say the options are not so bad. I just checked my ED with the Mod Podge and it feels really sturdy and safe. If it cracks i will let you all know, but i don't think it will (just my opinion).

Where's that Homer Simpson backing up right through a hedge GIF.

I do care, but if it can be hold back by mod podge, it may be acceptable. Thats what i am waiting and hoping for.
Since this is a toy and not a car, i don`t see HT taking this off the shelves. People are not gonna die for this fault so it will not be in the companys favor. They may get a little bruise....

Jeeze....time will show...

Just covered the dome with mod podge matt on mine. I've had the ED since first day of N.A. release and so far there is no cracks and my dome still feels slightly tacky as well....but given the experience of others I know it's only a matter of time so what the heck let's give it a preventive treatment.

Just by taking it the figure out of the shelve and handling it renders me in awe of it all over again with its heft and details. If I had a crystal ball I still would have gotten the figure, just not at full retail. For those that want a 1/6 Ed but don't want to deal with the dome issue, get the Chronicles ED209 Statue.
