I wonder if they've decided to make him a Toy Fair EX? Maybe the initial negative reaction to Drax was enough to convince Hot Toys to produce him in much smaller numbers so as not to have another shelf warmer.

I can almost guarantee this is getting a major reworking. The prototype was waaaaayyyyy off and I figure they almost had to go back to square 1 in the development process. Add to that all of the stuff they are in the middle of working on now and that's where the delay is coming from. He will happen but you might see all of the Avengers stuff go up for preorder first. And then you have to worry about all of the Star Wars stuff looming on the horizon.

The fact that Hot Toys hasn't said anything about this figure is very troubling. I wish they would at least tell us if they're still planning to release this.

The fact that Hot Toys hasn't said anything about this figure is very troubling. I wish they would at least tell us if they're still planning to release this.

I wonder the same thing. They could at least give an explanation, but no, they just continue to be dicks... great PR

Will hot toys be at toy Fair? If he is shown there, I would wager he is still coming. If there is just a case with the other four...

HT need to just bite the bullet, use some decent quality rubber, and do a full rubber body for him. No problem then with the underlying body being unsuitable/crap, as is the case with the proto.

And fix the HS.

I'd like to add Drax to the team, but no pictures of him yet inspire me to do so.

It would be brave to put your trust in a HT rubber body right now. And if they did there would no doubt be complaints that he couldn't be posed, either from a physical aspect, or for fear of causing damage.

I don't mind articulated bodies but the wrists on than proto Drax are uglier than normal for some reason.

The whole proto is ugly imo
