Hot Toys –MMS120 - Iron Man 2: War Machine full spec and pics

Well, I had made it this far telling myself that I didn't need War Machine and I wasn't as crazy about this suit as I was about the Iron Man ones... but then I saw it in store. If you want to really keep from buying something, never see it in person

The price at the local store was a little high, so I've ordered it online. Oh money, I hardly knew ye.

I´m asking this again, cause I really wanna do this, but don´t have the know-how:

I want to exchange the white LED in War Machine´s neck, but 1.: I do not know how to get out the neck, 2.: I don´t know how to savely get it open and 3.: I don´t know how to exchange a LED.

Next would be to get open the head (I guess that would be the same routine as with he neck), get the eyes out, paint´ em with a translucent red and then get it all together again and together with the custom decals would make for a damn great and accurate WM.

But...I thought about an aternate plan, what do you guys think:
Since the red LED has so much power and the slot in the head for channeling the light and the translucent neck ball-joint rips the LED of 70-80% of it´s power, wouldn´t it suffice to actually (here come the ouch-factor in my plan) cut a piece out of the ball-joint and letting the unfiltered light through the slot?

The red LED had no problems today, no dimming or fading for more than a coupe of minutes. I hope those batteries will last a liftime, so that I don't have to replace them...seems like a pain in the ***...

So you had dim eyes and after replacing the batteries more light came outta the eyes?

Nope, i didn't change anything...it just seems random. The longer i have the LED activated, the often it tends to dimm. No idea why...

So it´s all about custom for brithening it, huh?

It´s not about dimming, that was cleared with Xenomorph.
My problem is, that the eyes on War Machine are generally to dark, and I want to replace the LED, but I dunno how to, you know?

Picked up this guy over the weekend!
What an amazing figure!!!
HT has improved their engineering a lot!
Just comparing this guy to the original Mark III, huge improvements and details!
Can't wait for Mark IV...
