Glad to see there's still a lot of interest in this figure.
I prefer the look of the War Machine Mk.I over the WM Mk.II. :rock

I'm lovin' this fig :rock This & the MK VI are definitely my flavors of the month and have been getting all of my attention :lol

I never looked it up or followed the WM MK II thread; where the hell was that in the movie?? Was it even?

It was in the comic released just before IM3 came out. It shows that Tony got the original WM back and turned it back into the MKII again by removing all the upgrades, then he made the WM MKII for Rhodey. Rhodey was off in Asia looking for some threat during the Battle Of New York and wasn't able to make it back. Shortly afterwards, the rebranding of WM into IP happened.

Ah, I heard about Tony stripping down the original WM and that's how he has the MK II back in the HOA but I didn't know that the story line came from the comic. I thought it was some deleted scenes or movie back story stuff. The current comics are written to tie into the movies? I haven't read comics in a loooong time

No, these are prelude comics specific to the MCU only. Marvel typically releases them a couple months prior to a film release, usually limited to a small handful of issues only. Their art usually sucks but at least they fill in some gaps that the movies don't address.

Is there a photo thread for this? I'm trying to get a nice pose to go along w/ my Mk7 that's on the dynamic stand. Was thinking about putting him on a stand as well but he seems more like a ground unit than aerial. Articulation just makes it hard to have a nice pose...

captnrex

how much would you sell the neck for? I went to go swap the batteries on mine with my glasses repair screw driver to tend to this small *** screw and i stripped it :-(

I really want my red eyes to light up hahja

The neck is hard to pull off. As long as you got the battery compartment screw undone then you're set.

I have a spare neck post that I should sell.

My friend (member jvlxv1) let me borrow his Hot Toys Iron Man 2 War Machine to take a couple pictures. Definitely need to pick this figure up. Here's the results:

:wink1:
this clearly shows what a wonderful job you did, great shots :clap :bow

I like it! What did you do to change the colour of his eyes?

I took the neck apart and replaced the red LED with a superbright white one. It looks a lot better than the red eyes.

Because it looks cooler. I used a spare neck I got from a member here, so I still have my "redneck" version. :wink1:
