5/10 is no where near 7/10. In a 10 point system, each point is drastic.

One is above passing and the other you would have to repeat the class.

Stop being a bunch of apologists.

Haven't seen the movie, but all I know is they need to get rid of Snyder... or at least, not make him direct.
Why not go see the movie and then come back and give us your take.

I think if DC makes a.marvel style movie it would make money every time instead of trying to hit a 3 pointer everytiime they should just try for the easy layup.

Thor Ragnarok is a farce it's ridiculous the jokes are the most cheese I have ever heard. They really are both trying now.

Are the going to continue this pattern with Infinity war they going to make him Thanos crack jokes while he fighting. They Are turning the movie in a their ultimate cartoon on disney

Just got back from the movie. It was fine. Not awful like Suicide Squad and not nearly as good as Wonder Woman. Enjoyed all the characters except Cyborg. The CGI mustache removal was atrocious—like embarrassingly bad work by whatever team was in charge of that. And yeah, people like Superman better because almost all of his scenes were from the Whedon reshoots, you can tell because almost every scene had the digitally removed mustache.

I'll be sure to share them.

Did you ever read that excerpt of his script that was his vision of the WW film? Absolutely terrible. It did nothing but sexualize her in painstaking detail in a weird fanboy, fantastical sort of way.

I didn't see that but thank god that never got made. I'm terrified what Whedon will do with Batgirl should they let him near that movie.

It would be cool if WB now gave Snyder the chance to put his cut of the movie together for the blu-ray. I still enjoyed the movie for the most part especially Superman, it really does feel like his movie even though he of course has less screen time than the rest of the team. Just needs more than 2 hours.

If 20% is Whedon scenes, that leave's Snyder's stuff at barely over 1 hour 30. His original cut was supposedly 2 hours 40. Whoever made that 2 hour decision needs to be fired.

Really? I only really noticed it in a couple of scenes. A lot of Supes stuff was shot by Snyder I'm sure.

Anyone else think the Danny elfman score was horrendous?
It’s was straight from the 80s and took away from the film as well

Good God yes. The worst party of the movie was the score. It was distracting and didn't tonally fit. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the film, CGI was spotty in places, but Superman totally kicked *** in all the right ways.

It was back from 2006, but it sounded more like erotica than it did a superhero film with an uplifting message:

I have no doubt I'll probably still like JL and find it enjoyable. I go to the movies to be entertained by seeing characters that I like on the big screen, facing similar real world problems and having to make tough decisions and seeing how they handle them based on the character's ethos, so I'm easy to please. I don't go with the intention of seeing what I can find wrong with it. It also helps that I like what the DCEU has set up thus far. Even though Whedon put his touch on it, I still overall consider it Zack's project. However, I'm still sure that even after I see the film, seeing Zack's full cut would still be interesting.

And the theater crowd seemed to enjoy it, especially Superman. He got lots of claps.

as he should

Agreed. As he should indeed.

Good to hear you enjoyed it. I've usually found what I enjoy matches up with your take quite bang on in the past. I'm sure it'll be a good time at the theatre though I hope we get a much longer cut as well. And I really, really hope that they retroactively inject Junkie and Zimmers tracks back into it... Though I feel that won't happen

Its also interesting how people have turned on Whedon. Everyone was predicting (myself included) that all the blame will be laid at Snyders feet as usual but it doesn't seem to be the case outside of the critics who'd made up their minds beforehand. I guess the shift has been too jarring for pretty much everyone.

To be fair to Whedon, I have a feeling he may have been pressured by the studio to inject a lot more humor and one-liners into the movie than even he probably thought was necessary. Especially given their other mandate about the run time.

Personally I'm more inclined to blame the studio for the entire situation than either Snyder or Whedon.

I would tend to agree with this. I think much of it comes from WB.

Although I still generally prefer Snyder's work over Whedon's.

I feel it’s a shame this movie isn’t predicted to do well in the US. It takes a lot of flack. It’s a pretty solid movie tha I found all kinds of entertaining. Not a masterpiece by any means but to me it doesn’t deserve its 40%. I hope it does well and i hope we get more DC universe movies.

Agreed- will see it a second time this weekend
