Don't think we need to consider them not continuing with this universe regardless of how this does. There's too much groundwork already laid. Aquamans already wrapped production, and they know a Wonder Woman sequel will do good money. Man of Steel made good money for where the genre was in 2013, and everyone saying it's the 'real' supes surely will bode well for him too. Really hoping for a MoS sequel more than anything myself.

Flashpoint is confirmed by Geoff Johns at this point as well, and the 'Batman story of it all' as he said he wants to focus it on so he's got a major role there regardless of Matt Reeves flick.

I'm most interested in the figures from flashpoint as well. Big ol' Thomas Wayne Batman? The war versions of WW and Aquaman? And depending how big her role is... Maybe Martha Wayne Joker....? (Haha... It might give 'that name' a whole new meaning!)

Understandably so that they would shy away from a JL2 and focus on their characters solo outings I have nothing against that. However, I feel a reboot is completely unnecessary.

Likewise, what I want more than anything is more Superman movies but then I biased being a big fan of the character. Already seeing some negative BS that WB should move on from Batman and Superman and just focus on WW and the new characters...really really hate that thought.

I feel the same regarding Flashpoint to. A HT Thomas Wayne Batman and Martha Wayne Joker, YES PLEASE! Those are at the top of the list of figures I want to see happen. I love the elseworlds stories. A Gotham by Gaslight live action movie would be awesome to.

5/10 is no where near 7/10. In a 10 point system, each point is drastic.

One is above passing and the other you would have to repeat the class.

Stop being a bunch of apologists.

Haven't seen the movie, but all I know is they need to get rid of Snyder... or at least, not make him direct.

I see what you’re getting at when you look at it as a 10 point system and relate it to schooling grades, but im not sure that’s the way to think about scoring entertainment. The simpler the scale the better IMO. If you want something more complex than Rotten Tomatoes’ See-It/Dont’t-See-It ratio percentage, I think the 5 star system works best, and adapting it to Ragnarok and JL’s scores you get around 3.5/5 stars and 2.5/5 stars respectively. We’re down to a 1 star difference using that. Wish that rating system was utilized a little more, but I’m just ranting about the logistics of rating systems for entertainment now lol.

I always prefer a 5 point scale to 10 as the full scale is almost never used with 10. Often people will say a movie sucks and give it 5 out of 10, in which case whats the point of the first 5 numbers.

I'd give JL 3/5 but that may become a 4 if we ever get a longer cut to add some much needed exposition.

They already cast the right Thomas Wayne for the part. He'd be great in Flashpoint. And Flashpoint could easily reboot the continuity, leaving some elements (like Wonder Woman) and changing others (introducing a new Batman).

I am really a supporter of DCEU movies. I think this JL to me ranked the same as SS. Around a 6-7...

But you know what, i gave BvS the same rating in the theatrical cut... but then I watched the EU, it became a masterpiece.

MOS and BvS still stands at 9.5 for me..

WW is trailing at 8.5 maybe, not masterpiece, but I can't fault it.

So WB, show me the Zack's Director's Cut!! I need to know the original vision.

I always rate out of an 8 scale and I gave this movie a 6.5/8 rating because I enjoyed it.

Now, can I just get a Hot Toys Deathstroke and I’ll be completely done collecting DC Hot Toys?

Just saw it and unfortunately I'd have to give it a 5/10. It certainly wasn't the awful mess the critics were saying, but for the first major teamup of these iconic characters it did feel painfully generic and uninspired to me, and just so... bland. Say what you will about Snyder, but at least he gave MOS and BvS a very distinctive tone and style, which is something the current movie has none of whatsoever. And thanks to Elfman's generic score, most of the action and visuals never seem half as badass as I'm accustomed to with a Snyder movie either.

About the only thing the movie does well is make me want to see these characters in other, much better movies down the road. And it really makes me want a MOS sequel, like, tomorrow.

Anyone else think the Danny elfman score was horrendous?

actually, I did notice the score lacked a punch I felt the other movies had... and I didn't even like most of the other movies.

As for the film itself... I didn't hate it... but I didn't love it either... I just came out of the movie feeling indifferent.... just meh...

For the Man of Steel I felt... "oh so close only to feel the movie got lost in the spectacle of the ending and the questionable decision regarding the character. For Batman V Superman I felt like the movie would be awesome with the sound down, great to look at but ridiculous character motivations (Martha?!?!?). Wonder Woman I thought was flat out one of the best Super hero movies ever made. Justice League evoked no real feelings from me one way or the other. I think they tried to play it safe, and they got a safe kinda bland movie which is kind of a let down for all the promise and build up we had going into this.

I'm defiantly getting a Wonder Woman figure, but I was hoping the movie would talk me into wanting a Batman and Superman from the franchise. But as cool as they look, I kinda have to care a little bit about these particular versions of the characters to want to shell out the money for their figures. I would at least need to think there might be something to look forward too with these characters, but I am not sure how even committed the studio is to this particular version of the these characters any more.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know if i pre order more JL figures if I can apply gift card balances to the figures in the future? Like if I get $200 for Christmas and pre order the entire league can I apply it to all my orders?

So I just got back from seeing the film. I'll try and summarize my sentiments on it as best as I can without being too much all over the place:

I personally thought the film was really good. I liked it better than both the first Avengers and AoU myself. While I did enjoy A1, I thought the whole helicarrier sequence was a big lull and got a bit soporific. This film had me engaged the whole time and didn't feel like it had any lulls.

The score was weak compared to both MoS and BvS, but I did like the slight nods to both 89 Batman and 78 Superman by having their respective themes sprinkled in. I also thought the CGI on Steppenwolf was a bit rough, but meh. It was decent.

Damn, Superman was POWERFUL. Did he gain strength during his rebirth? He literally manhandled the JL all at once, including WW, during the sequence when he was confused about who he was right after his rebirth, and threw Steppenwolf around like a rag doll at the end. The way he pounded him into the ground and stood menacingly over him was almost...scary. Steppenwolf literally stood NO chance against Superman, I mean none. I feel like Supes though has come full circle now; he was very Reeve-esque in this film to me. You could tell Henry himself has grown into the role as well, and has it nailed. I also like the introduction of freeze breath, which I wonder if was intended to be an ability he gained during his rebirth. His suit in this was darker than what the suit on the prototype figure boasts. Slightly lighter than BvS, but darker than the suit on the prototype figure. The muscles seemed a little more enhanced though and seemed to have a different pattern than BvS.

The film to me also for the most part still felt Snyder-esque. Some parts you can tell weren't, but I still for the most part thought you could tell it was a Snyder film. While I'd still be interested to see a full, extended version, I thought this cut was still fine and unlike the theatrical cut of BvS, didn't feel like anything was unexplained.

The stars of the film I thought were Flash and Superman. Flash was such a snowflake, but that's what made him hilarious. Aquaman was hilarious as well, especially when he just all of a sudden started rambling and giving a group pep speech as well, not privy that the lasso of truth was underneath him. I thought the coming together of the JL felt more natural and less forced than the Avengers, as each of them had their own reasons for wanting to join and fight on their own accord, rather than having someone (Nick Fury) tell them to come together.

The film got a large applause at the end, including myself.

And I think it's safe to say the JL WW is indeed intended to be an amalgamation of the JL and solo WW versions, as she does not wear the cloak at all in this film, yet the figure still includes it.

I think I'm still happy with my BvS figures though and will refrain from getting many figures from this.

Yes, I read that breakdown elsewhere, and although I'm actually thinking it's weird for me to admit it, cause I freaking love Snyder, but I think WB was right in bringing whedon in.

I love MOS, and BvS, two of the top all time personal favorite superhero movie of mine. But I can see some of the nitpicks that it could have used some more lighter moments.
Seeing the breakdowns on which one is Snyder, and which one is whedon, I love both parts.
Whedon brought in the lighter elements to make Snyder's movie lighter and even more fun.
So I think it was a brilliant move by WB.
I also think they were correct in keeping the movie to 2 hours, sometimes even when the movie is really good, when it gets past 2 hours, there are many people who would feel that some parts were dragged out it could have been a little shorter.
So it catered to this general public as well...and I felt that the running time is fine, I'm fine seeing the longer parts on an extended bluRay.

So, Ultimately I think the decisions made by warner, and the work by the two directors worked.
I truly love and enjoyed the movie. It was nice to see most of the people think so also, as most of the people clapped at the end of the movie.
