If they are getting into an "Expanded Universe" why would they start with her and not a Pred? I mean she is important to the comic world...but we all know the stars of the show are the Preds.

Variety? I'm looking forward to it. I'm sure will be seeing the P1 Pred down the road, possibly with a few more EU Preds tossed in.

The whole point of an "expanded universe" is to explore possibilities in an existing universe. So, it doesn't matter that Lex never wore the Pred armor or hunted with them. That's what this is supposed to represent.

My gut tells me that Sabres is true.

If it turns out to be 'named' Lex, I don't give a ^^^^.

I'll be calling her Machiko regardless, it's obviously more based on her, than Lex. Skintone, gear, and hair. If someone could find a GOOD picture of the info card thing, whatever, that's beside the figure... that'd uhhh, be a big help.

My only problem with this figure are the kids who are collecting the line now, and I know, I KNOW someone will buy it, and if it is called Machiko, they'll be saying, "there was never a girl dressed up like a predator in any movie, so it's kinda dumb." If it's Lex, they'll ^^^^^ that she never, ever looked like that in AvP, so that too will be "dumb."

I just really hope, the people who don't know the extended universe spend a little cash on the three AVP Novels, or the AvP Omnibus, and get a clue on who this figure is based on.

as a long time reader/consumer of comics i will have to advise against this.
the best avp comics are mediocre and the rest are lousy.
go buy the new alex ross justice hardcover. lets support the good guys.

I know what you're saying Adam. It shocked me, but kids at my school said that they saw AVP 1 & 2, but never bothered with the originals, and ^^^^^ed about the Alien design in ALIEN and stuff.
