If I was in HT's position, I'd release a camo Tumbler with Fox and the means to modify the tumbler into TDK variants (clip-on pieces) to display with whoever uses them in TDKR. This way you cater to BB fans as well as not only provide the means to make it relevant for TDKR, but sell potentially multiple Tumblers.

That's an awesome idea, and I'd buy that to display it as the BB version with Fox and Wayne.

"does it come in black?"

:rock

Have you really looked at the HT Tumbler? I don't see any way they can come up with pieces to modify it into the black version, if that's what you're suggesting. Am I wrong?

Yup, on all accounts. :lol He was quoting Wayne from BB. :wink1:

And I wasn't talking about modifying the camo Tumbler into a black one. But modifying it to replicate the other 3 camouflaged Tumblers used in TDKR. :lol

Ah, I see! Sorry :wave

Yeah, it was just a quote that Wayne said to Fox when they were test driving the camo tumbler in BB.

Again I don't mind if they rerelease it. Just leave it as is, no improvements that'd make mine out-of-date in terms of its features and coolness. That would p!$$ me off. Why should the people coming late into the game get a better batmobile than me? Sounds childish but thats it.

Improvements on figures I can take and oftentimes want but those are relatively 'cheap' - the Tumbler is a different story.

To you. :lol

I think a re-release is coming. There is too much money to be made.,,look at the BB figure, it's back in stock at SS! I know SS ordered enough to make big $! Limited my you know what!

"Limited" or "exclusive?" It was everybody's understanding that these would be exclusive toy show releases, but with the exception of Toys Hunters, there was no limit on ES.

I stand corrected, they are exclusives (not limited), you are correct.

Camo Tumbler VERY EASY pass for me- black Tumbler Instant buy- what a difference in a paint job!

I also have the original Tumbler, so I feel your pain. But I would be shocked if HT reissued this without some improvements/changes. They would be excluding a potential market base (owners of the current model) that might consider purchasing another if it were in some way "better". As much as it pains me, I'm probably one of those suckers!

Same here! Camo easy pass, black easy buy

I'm sure they'll get more business out of those who've purchased the original and want a variant and those who want one regardless of color, than those who'll pass because it's not black. That's just good business. :huh

HT's TDK Tumbler was limited to 1000 pieces worldwide so I wouldn't worry about the collectability on the original UNLESS they did a straight re-issue. It will be the slight enhancements that differentiate the two issues and preserve the value of the ones that are out there already.

From HT's perspective they'd be foolish to not sell more. It's in high demand and it's likely the market will bear a higher price point.

Exactly yeah. Basically I'm just having a whine, I know I have no power over what they do nor will they have any sympathies for guys like me if theres money to be made.

How would enhancements on the new one preserve the value of the old one? If anything surely they would harm the value of the old. We're not talking about antiques here where one things oldness relative to the new thing in itself makes it more desirable. Its just a toy at the end of the day, if the later one is cooler than the old one because of added features surely the old one is less desirable and its market value goes down. The only way I can see the value of the old one not going down is if, like the new Batman Begins Batman, the new Tumbler is rife with QC issues that the old one didn't have.

How'd you know about this? It wasn't officially announced :huh

Ya really. Not only do we not know how many, but I remember reading somewhere that they didn't make as many as they wanted because of issues they were having with it, or something to that effect.
