Hot Toys- 300 - King Leonidas spec and pics

I really enjoyed this movie. As a fan, I will most likely pick this figure up. Hot Toys is going to run me dry for 2010

Absolutely surprised and excited by this move. A figure with an expression (and the sculpt is not that far off) deserves an A for effort. Way to go HT

I think the extra head is a great addition. It's not perfect and suffers from the same problems as the other one, that being the eyes are still too small and too old looking. The roar expression needs more exaduration.

But It's still a pretty good head so I'm happy!

I am still wondering if we will definitely be getting a battle damaged version of the figure!

It doesnt matter though. With the helmet on, it's perfect.

I want it so badly. But i'm going to wait till its in hand. I want to see how this body works. If it sucks, then i'll pass.

You will have multiple heads to choose from. Choose the one that better suits your taste or simply pass on the figure

Oh, Ill get him for sure, he's about 95% there.
No other figure company would be able to get that close.
But he's going to be tweaked and always have the helm on.
The additional sculpt is nice especially if they have no plans to do another. So props to HT for that.

Just saying though that at the end of the day if that same sculpt
was sans beard and Greek hair style, not one person in a hundred
would say thats a Gerard Butler sculpt. Not a good one any ways.
If looking at the screen caps already posted doesnt sway you nothing will.
Its Gerards stunt double not Gerard.

I think the problem people are having with the likeness is that you never see Gerard Butler scowling unless it's as Leonidas. But looking at pics from 300 - the figure looks just like him.

Have to admit he looks pretty spot on to me, loving those exposed teeth. Another winner as far as I'm concerned, if the paint apps come out as well as these pics then we'll be laughing!

I like it! Leave it to Hot Toys to give you something more after the pre-orders have been up. The only minor issue I see right now is that the nose isn't wide enough, but they may fix that yet. Who knows HT might even open the mouth wider for the battle cry, but my chances of ordering have gone way up now with the additional head.
