So how's the articulation on this new muscle body? Is Leo's body much better than the previous muscle bodies?

Thanks guys for all the complements on the pose, I am very happy I pleased with him and how HT can just keep putting out superior figures left and right. Do you remember HT early days, there stuff was just so so, they have come so far, truly amazing.

The body is really great, arms are amazing, you don't feel like the rubber is gonna tear and you can move and turn them with confidence. The legs move fine as well but you have to watch out for the leather underwear, it could cut into the rubber if your not careful. The only gripe I have is the neck and torso, very stiff and it wont hold the pose as well as the Wolverine, but I can live with that.

You guys are crazy... This is NOT an easy figure to pose :(

do any of you guys have Hellboy? It's exactly the same thing. The rubber is stiff and hard... So much so that it's hard to bend the arms anyway it requires a lot of force... You can't tell unless you look at the completely unhelpful instruction manal ( and then you still can't tell because it's so unhelpful anyway) if it's even supposed to bend that way due to the automatic resistance. If it's not and you force it and it snaps in the rubber that's it. You're done for. My brother snapped his hellboy arm right out of the package and that's how it stayed... Limp and floppy forever unable to do anything but flop around in the rubber. I had my godfather for 5 months and one day decided to change his pose his leg snapped off for no reason. At least that was a regular TrueType And I could take the leg off a spare one.

If you think it's easy to pose you are being way way to careless with this thing and it's only a matter of time...

This is a very poor effort by hot toys... Especially with how misleading the promo pics are ... It should have been closer to Dutch or even the batman rubber outfit.

even still I'd much rather this that the jointed figures they're messing around with now like the titans guy.

As for the neck it's not that it's stiff but it's more that it's floppy. Being that I think it's just sitting on there and it's not jointed like wolverine and comedian that's why if you bend it it flops back into place... And I think it's because you're supposed to swap heads Any force put on it would snap the joint anyway... Which would result in the current effect anyway so they might have well have just done it I guess.

Why can't hot toys just make the joint easier to swap?? Or do what enterbay does and use magnets? I'be never once been bugged with my Bruce lee heads... I just LOVE how easy it is to swap those heads! These things cost a fortune... I font want to be forcing it... Touching it too much... Running it under water or using a hair dryer... All long term damaging effects. Right now I don't even have the head snapped into full place just so I can swap it easier. You lose SO much realism and body language by not being able to ____ the neck up or down or to the side... Especially on a guy who's supposed to hold battle poses.

The thing is doomed to stand erect and lifeless even atill it has amazing detailing, likeness paint job and acessories.

You seem to be the only person with that opinion. I'm not trying to smear it or anything, just saying - wookster gave this guy 4/4, everyone else loves him, he's the best figure I own in my opinion and people are posting pictures of pretty great, dynamic poses considering its a rubber body.

:dunno

I dunno I usually don't agree with wooksters reviews anyways as for the poses... First of all I've got no idea how they got it like that anyway this figures arms cannot bend forward or backward in any way on mine... Stiff rubber or not it's just not happening, it does however bend side ways upright at the shoulder.

mark my words in a few months time those will be the same guys complaining about breaks :(

I was looking forward to this a lot and with Hot Toys' amazing effforts ad of late, Aldo, Blade, wolverine, comedian, predator... All setting a brand new standard... I really think this might be the most dissapointing figure I've gotten in two years or so. I really wanted this guy I think that's why I'm being so vocal about how dussappinted I am with it.

I understand about disappointment, but this is a really great figure, perhaps you just got a bad one, I don't know. I have been on the same page with Jeff Parkers reviews and this one is no different. Your posts have been very negative, I understand that this is the place to speak your mind and you have, but it is a quality figure and 99% of the people that have posted on this thread love it. I have gotten mine in almost every pose I have tried. I have the Hellboy and I love that figure too, I was able to pose him in many different ways. I am glad HT didn't go with the jointed body on Leonidas, I find the joints unsightly and take away from the figure.

I'm sorry you are having probs with yours, but I find he poses really well. I agree that Hellboy is very limited, but Leo is a dream compared to him. I wonder if your shoulder joints are in the right configuration. I did say in my review-

The shoulder can bend upwards to the front by a comfortable 90 degrees and it can also bend up away fro the body to the same amount, but be mindful of the configuration at all times, as if you forget which combination you used to achieved a pose, it can mean all the difference in the ease with which you return him to a relaxed position. The mid bicep also has a radial joint that allows the upper arm to twist toward and away from the body by about 75 to 80 degrees. For the elbow it seems to be the only wire joint on the body, but it can still bend to a little over 90 degrees as well. Then lastly we have the neck, the head can turn easily from side to side and it even has the ability to tilt from side to side, but I found on mine it couldn’t hold the pose and sprang back after posing, it can’t however look up or down at all.

Have you tried moving the arms up away from the body and then twisting to see if the alignment is all correct?
Trust me, the arms pose well, so far you are the only person I've heard of having any real problems.
I agree about the neck though, I wish it was more like the Wolverine neck.

Cheers, I always try to just tell it how I see it, if you don't do that people can soon tell!
