Hot Toys Age of Ultron: HULK Figure -MMS287

DX 8,9,11,12 were my first HT's. After being filled with excitement and wanting to talk to other folks about Hot Toys I jumped on here and hung out on the DC threads. I literally thought that I was owning these toys incorrectly after reading their posts. Stayed off the forums until I PO'd the GOTG and AOU figs. Marvel side is definitely a lot more friendly.

Excellent post, the DC crowd is definitely a jaded crowd. Marvel is a younger, more happy go lucky forum.

Look at how many ways almost the exact same figures from the Dark Knight are released over and over, it's because so much criticism is made of each that HT sees $$$ if they listen and release it again. We may get 8 million Iron Man figures but different Marks or made up ones, we don't get 5 Mark IIIs.

Well I didn't mean to add fuel to the fire here. Basically examples of what I saw was "The DKR cape is an abomination and you need to replace it with this custom" or "Joker 2.0 face sculpt is the worst I've ever seen". "Or the 89 batman is too rubbery/not rubbery enough". These are the kind of things that turned me off. It wasn't just one off opinions everyone was saying this and here I am practically playing with them while I read these as happy as can be with the way they look and feel etc.

Well to be fair, in my experience, it's mostly just batman threads. The HT Reeve Supes thread is pleasant...

I frequent both sides. I do feel the... perfectionism is stronger there. The heath ledger joker threads in particular are very hmm how do i say? elitist? I like both in diff ways.

That's what i mean about made up versions. HT has done 3 jokers in his purple suit attempting to satisfy fans with evolving accuracy, I haven't seen them go so far with any other license. At least 3 attempts at the Dark Knight/Rises batsuit as well.
