I bought a pair of the original pants for $25 and they are sitting in a drawer waiting for AoU Hulk to arrive. Not a fan of the new pants.

I preferred the pants in the AOU promo art. You know, the purple ones with red lines and the Avengers logo.

i like those too, for some reason the current ones are starting to bug me but I'm sure It'll be fine, I don't have a Hulk

I wish, I missed out on a lot of the A1 figures, just have theVI, VIIBD, Thor, Fury, and Loki....
Plus I hated the shoulder seams on the A1 Hulk

Huh, that's interesting, I don't think the shoulder seams are any better on this one, plus I push my Hulk arms more into the joint so it looks more seamless. I think it looks great.

Yeah I've seen a few pics of the A1 Hulk where it didnt look bad, so I kinda regret not getting it, anyway It'd probably stay in the box so I double regret it
Thats one reason why I'm getting the new one, the other being the deluxe version, as the new torso is the one I'll use

VIIBD is the only one i do not have and probably never will. The aftermarket price is just a bit to high for me to justify.

Yeah, but the ones hot toys used are the ones from the film. It's funny how if they make something and it turns out to be early promo art or CG stuff people complain, but when they make it exactly like the film items, not the promo art, people complain. Makes you wonder why people even collect hot toys. Every two or three posts it's someone complaining about how they got it wrong or suck or whatnot. No matter what they do.

I think they look better then purple cutoff shorts. I can't understand the love for those. I know it's classic. But it screams 80s hillbilly at a crappy water park to me. Who is gonna wear purple jeans to start with. Let alone when you know you can turn hulk and then have cutoff purple jean shorts. And then have to replace the ugly purple jeans again. In a comic I get it. Outside of that...nope. And for sure not on a movie.

Fair enough, but his pants in AOU barely look purple, in the movie the color is very muted. In the first Avengers they were brown and blue pants that he wore.

I don't think people necessarily are bothered by his pants being purple or not so much as the Under Armor design of his AOU uniform.

that tight pants have grown on me(didn't like them @ first). I'm debating on selling my A1 hulk around when this AoU version is released to "upgrade". I did the same with Hawkeye this past week. they're really killing it with all the figures from this movie!

I think the story line was the Tony Stark made those spandex shorts/underwear for Hulk so that he wouldn't be naked after he turns back to banner , great idea! The normal fabric pants growing also with hulk just didnt make sense

btw , the hot toys pic, it appears they included thigh padding under the spandex?? is this right? that looks terrible
